New Zealand authorities have reminded citizens that they face up to 10 years in prison for knowingly possessing a copy of the New Zealand mosque shooting video and up to 14 years in prison for sharing it. Corporations (such as web hosts) face an additional $200,000 ($137,000 US) fine under the same law.
Terrorist Brenton Tarrant used Facebook Live to broadcast the first 17 minutes of his attack on the Al Noor Mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand at approximately 1:40 p.m. on Friday the first of two mosque attacks which left 50 dead and 50 injured.
. Copies of Tarrants livestream, along with his lengthy manifesto, began to rapidly circulate on various file hosting sites following the attack, which as we noted Friday were quickly scrubbed from mainstream platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Scribd. YouTube has gone so far as to intentionally disable search filters so that people cannot find Christchurch shooting materials including footage of suspected multiple shooters as well as the arrest of Tarrant and other suspects.
On Saturday, journalist Nick Monroe reported that New Zealand police have warned citizens that they face imprisonment for distributing the video, while popular New Zealand Facebook group Wellington Live notes that NZ police would like to remind the public that it is an offence to share an objectional publication which includes the horrific video from yesterdays attack. If you see this video, report it immediately. Do not download it. Do not share it. If you are found to have a copy of the video or to have shared it, you face fines & potential imprisonment.

I sure wouldn’t rate it that way.

It’s understandable that they are trying to dampen down the propaganda value of the video. But in doing it through tyranny, they are appealing to the exact wrong thing.
What are they afraid of?
“Poisoning” of the jury pool?
The judge said it was needed
to ensure a fair trial, whatever
THAT means.
I watched the video , and didn’t see 50 peeps shot. I don’t thin they were 50 peeps in the whole place-
Guess that is why they do not want people to see it.
Fifty dead and another 30 plus injured. 7 killed and ?? injured in other non filmed location.
Possession includes if it’s in your cache memory.
How authoritarian of them.
I saw it too, pretty darn graphic. But then I’ve seen worse war footage. No wonder NZ wants to scrub this from history.
What if all if the country decided to be anti Muslim?
That might just set off something globally.
Tear down the Mosques before the people do.
Plainly in many countries Islam does far worse, its like having a community fishtank as a hobby but you try to force a species that no matter what you do bullies, maims and kills the other fish.
And anyone speaking or even thinking about this will be prosecuted. Oh the rat cancer globalist puppets are nervous
>>Dont ever let the Muslims out-breed you. That is their tried and true method of taking over and imposing Sharia and Jizya. Until they become the majority population, they practice Taqiyya.<<
Very difficult in practice, once they establish a beachhead. Their women have no say in choosing a husband, and cannot refuse sex. Essentially they are seen as human jihadist factories for the spread of Islam.
I don’t know why the footage would cause anti-moslim sentiment. I actually think quite the opposite.
I would have thought that all the Moslim executions that they have broadcast all over the world would have caused a bigger reaction. but it hasn’t and they are gaining more adherents each week.
Heck, a freeper recently mused on the site here, that perhaps paying tyiqua (spelling) of 10% to Moslims would be worth getting rid of the ungodly and perverse culture we have now. Think of that! Accepting some slavery instead.
Correction: Not the USA.
Here in Georgia we have Republicans proudly sponsoring a Hate Crimes Law because were one of the few states without one.
I just saw someone call him that. Not surprised youre on the leading edge of that curve. Perfect.
Yes, I do wonder the same thing. What proof do we have that this is one person, with a verifiable identity?
I got the idea from a freeper!
