Supporting immigration is the theme of this years St. Patricks Day Parade in Manhattan, a march up Fifth Avenue that passes President Donald Trumps namesake tower, near 56th Street, along the route.
Five Latino immigrants will help lead the 257-year-old parade by marching with Grand Marshal Brian ODwyer, an activist and immigration lawyer bookended by fellow marchers from the New York National Guards Fighting 69th and the NYPD delegation, according to parade committee spokesman Bob Liff.

Didn’t the parade “go gay” a year or two ago?
Is this how the North was with the South? Did the Yankees stick their liberal noses into ever nook and cranny of the Southerner’s life like they are doing now?
If so, no wonder they had no problem picking up the musket. Leave me alone!!
The Irish all went through Ellis Island and got sent back if they were criminals or had contagious diseases.

Instead of honoring groups one-by-one such as the Irish on Saint Patrick’s Day, why don’t New Yorkers present one annual Democratic Day Parade each year to honor all of their favorite groups at once?
There’d be floats for Blacks, Hispanics, Gays, Transgenderers, Muslims, Feminists, Undocumented Immigrants, etc.
Jews would not be permitted to participate, but of course they’d be happy to volunteer to fund the entire enterprise, as usual.
