Former bodybuilder, male stripper and South Florida pizza delivery man Cesar Sayoc, accused in October of mailing pipe bombs to critics of President Donald Trump, appears ready to plead guilty in federal court in New York.
The online court docket for Sayoc’s case says, “The pretrial conference scheduled for March 21, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. is now a plea.”
To which charges Sayoc will plead guilty isn’t addressed. An email and a call to the federal public defender’s haven’t been returned.
Sayoc sits in federal jail in Manhattan. He faces five counts of use of weapons of mass destruction, five counts of threats by interstate communications, five counts of illegal mailing of explosives, five counts of explosives used in commission of felony and five counts of a destructive device used in relation to crimes of violence. Also, he’s charged with threats against former presidents and their families, threatening interstate communications and assaulting federal officers.

When you get right down to it all he did was fake a hate crime. Sort of like a certain Hollywood celebrity. I wonder how these two will come out?

There are a few old, rusty pipes stacked behind my garage. Are those also “pipe bombs”? They are likely to explode as the “pipe bombs” in this obvious farce.

Honest, hardworking folks at the fbi. At least that’s what they say about them when they are going after Trump for unpaid parking tickets from 40 years ago.
It’s fascinating that his story disappeared until, yesterday people were clamoring about why his story disappeared in wake of all the “Trump’s blaming” on yesterday’s attack and now, suddenly, he makes the news again...
Also curious -why does it take 6 months to go to a “pre trial conference”?
Do they not have the evidence already?
If no, on what basis did they arrest him and incarcerate him for 6 months for?
is this the state’s way of wrangling a guilty plea so they don’t HAVE to take him to trial?

Rush was surprised by the caller yesterday who brought up “Cesar” (on the Ides of March of course) and said he had forgotten about him.
You’re right. Not a word anywhere since his arrest, then a couple hours after this was mentioned before millions of listeners, a guilty plea.
