Rush just covered them. Class A for rifles/shotguns require background check, safety class, interview, two references (one non-family) with one being currently licensed.
Class B for handguns require they be kept and used only in authorized shooting clubs and pistol ranges. None for individual defense.
Last night I heard one reporter ask the police during a briefing whether the police would be armed as they search for the perps and the answer was that they would be.
Now with all the gun laws in New Zealand, how the killer, who is from Australia, got the stockpile of guns including semi-automatics is a question that hasn't been answered.
I just read Karl Denninger’s take on the shooter and the manifesto. Evidently it has now been scrubbed from the Internet. Karl said it ran about 80 pages and yet it had a number of nuggets of truth in it.

I agree. They really need to make an example of her. One thing is stupidity, but in her case she has a track record of stealing tips. She is going to do the same thing wherever she goes.
It really makes a sad statement about New York City that they would elect a person like her. There are high school students running their student council that could do a better job than her. If 9/11 happened again I think that people might feel a bit different now knowing that this is the kind of moron that people from NYC send to congress.

Progressives have reached the stage of idiocy. They have believed the fascist lie for so long they are now practicing it without any consideration of its impact. In truth, telling a lie 1000 times does not make it believable.
