I don't hate them. I don't care enough for that. Frankly I'm not even sure why bribing a dude at a private institution like Harvard is a crime. Is it a crime if I give a restaurant hostess $20 for a good table? You might argue it's unethical to bribe your way in but why is it criminal? A government official, of course. But the coach of Princeton? NCAA might be upset but why does the FBI care?
Maybe because federal money goes to colleges, loan guarantees?
Dunno
That's what I'm trying to figure out too.
What laws were broken? What's the crime?
Fraud? Is it a federal crime to cheat on an SAT test?
How about a calculus test in class?
Will the FBI investigate some student for peeking
over at a classmate's test?
Hit that reset button, Junkie!
You don’t see anyone “wronged” in this case?
You don’t see any wrong doing, in this case?
You don’t see a breakdown in order in this case?
Did you ever take the SAT or ACT tests?
Although there is no law against arrogance, there should be an extra hard slap in the face to the defendants.
Their payments for acceptance were to made to a fake charitable foundation and then deducted for tax purposes. I doubt you deduct the $20 you slip to the restaurant hostess.
