NDIANAPOLIS (AP) Former U.S. Sen. Birch Bayh, who championed the federal law banning discrimination against women in college admissions and sports, has died. He was 91.
Bayh died early Thursday surrounded by his family at his home in Easton, Maryland, according to a statement released by his family. His son, Evan, followed him into politics and became Indianas governor and also a senator.

“women’s soccer players are suing the organization for “equal pay”
I saw a video about that. They want equal pay even though they don’t bring in equal money. But the guys have a clause where they don’t get paid unless they play. The women don’t have that, and they don’t want to adopt it. This is typical of the women’s movement: they want equal pay, but the guy buys dinner.
Yeah, that’s an example of taking such activism too far.
I don’t want to watch men’s soccer any more than I want to watch women’s soccer, however.
Were his parents arborists?
One less...
Bayh pushed the Equal Rights Amendment, which failed ratification even after the deadline was extended twice.
Bayh sought to abolish the Electoral College long before Hillary thought of it.
Bayh teamed with Teddy the Swimmer to ram through Gun Control Act ‘68 but complained it didn’t include Federal registration of all firearms (LBJ was livid; google his remarks).
Typical Sixties liberal who will not be missed except in faculty lounges.
No big loss.
Another few years would have done it.
Oh, I think there has already been enough bastardization of his law by pussies that couldn't compete against their own natural sex in fair competition so they, to my mind, cheat to compete in the only way they can win, by competing against natural women.
There should be huge asterisks on these wins recorded by trannies. Interesting isn't it that you don't see any women that "believe' they are men competing against actual men in men's sports..............almost like they know they couldn't win on an equal footing.
Thank You for destroying Hofstra Univesity football, Duquesne University baseball, Kent State University men’s hockey, and literally thousands of men’s sports programs all across this country.
>>The only female sport I have found interesting was figure skating...do I have to hand in my man-card for that?<<
Women are great to watch in “grace” sports like that (and beach volleyball of course).
There are individual examples of beautiful/hot women in all sports.
They tend to be the exceptions.
If you’re a cycling fan, the women are every bit as competitive as the men, and as enjoyable to watch
Bye Bayh, Bye Bayh
Dang! I had Jimmy Carter in the death pool.
I prefer Jell-O wrestling.
I don’t think it went well for the murderer when he met his maker.
There’s a difference between discrimination against women in admissions and sports, and discriminating against men to even things out.
She is a perfect combination of athlete and adorable young woman. Fit, strong women with a winning smile are my favorites. Now off to confession and penance, to clear my guilt over my thoughts about a girl younger than my kids...
Yes...and as freedumb2003 said...womens beach volleyball too.
Agree...and old school Roller Derby.
