One of Special Counsel Robert Muellers top prosecutors conducting the Russia investigation is leaving the Justice Department, prompting new speculation that the probe is coming to an end, a report said.
Andrew Weissmann will leave to teach at New York University while working on various public service projects and preventing wrongful convictions, NPR reported. Weissmann helped build the case against President Donald Trumps former campaign manager Paul Manafort, who was recently sentenced to more than seven years in prison following two cases related to the Mueller probe. Neither case alleged Russian collusion.
His departure signals the special counsel investigation is coming to a conclusion, one source told NPR. Weissmann has been a frequent target of conservative legal interest groups and supporters of the president. Author Michael Wolff said former Trump advisor Steve Bannon told him that Weissmann was like "the LeBron James of money laundering investigations."

It’s not how the system works. Everything is behind closed doors....so you don’t put an “innocent” at risk.
Weissmann wrote the book on wrongful prosecution and hiding exculpatory evidence.
Trump should have vilified him rather than going after Mueller. Mueller was a figurehead while Weisman was the investigation...he was part of the coup attempt which should have disqualified him from the start. He sent a congrat letter to the fired attorney general sally yates.
Excellent point. I agree.
“and preventing wrongful convictions,”

You just can't make this sh$t up.
Has barr done anything yet? Is he going to go after any real criminals or just continue to insulate the fake investigations by the real criminals?
According to One American News reporter Jack Posobiec, Attorney General Bill Barr, who is overseeing the special counsels investigation is the one who told Mueller that there wasnt enough evidence to keep General Flynn around and to end his cooperation.Posobiec said that Muellers corrupt prosecutor Andrew Weissmann pushed back and wanted to continue to harass General Flynn.
This is an indicator that Bill Barr may actually be reeling in Muellers out-of-control inquisition a stark contrast from Jeff Sessions and Rod Rosenstein.
This is the perfect position for the Master Prosecutor of wrongful conviction.
Preventing wrongful convictions?
Enron. Arthur Anderson. Ted Stevens. Anyone?
This guy belongs in jail. And no, I’m not kidding.
No, actually Sidney Powell did. License to Lie.
I’ve read it.
