UT denies $500K donation figure found in tax records from foundation accused of bribes

The KVUE Defenders dug into the foundation behind the college admission accusations. Court records show the bribe money came from "The Key Worldwide Foundation." Tax records show the foundation also gave large donations to 12 organizations, including UT athletics. The UT athletic department received $294,000 in 2015 and $252,500 in 2016, according to the tax records. The university told KVUE on Wednesday their records don't match the amounts in the foundation's tax records. They said they have a record of a $15,000 donation from The Key Worldwide Foundation on June 10, 2015. The $15,000 donation covers the same period where FBI agents said UT tennis coach Michael Center accepted bribes. "The university is in the process of reviewing other gifts that could be related to the 2015 incident, which could total several hundred thousand dollars," said J.B. Bird, director of media relations and issues management. "All information is being shared with federal investigators." The FBI said no university is under investigation at this time.

Why aren’t the colleges under investigation? The buck stopped with them.

Oh, you mean the second UT. I was confused, see, because the first UT, the University of Tennessee, had its doors open for 40 years before anybody who lived in Texas could be bothered to pronounce it with an 'X.'

The first UT was celebrating its 85th anniversary when that other one was founded.

So there is 279,000 missing? Time to audit some UT Athletic Dept people. SMU got the death penalty for this kinda corruption.

What is the NCAA doing?

It was either channeled into the coach and directors bank accounts, or used to give illegal perks to student athletes.

They need a colonoscopy there at UT. They are no better than Baylor or SMU.
