My dad once flew space-a on a C-119 “Flying Boxcar”, and before they even started the engines the crew handed out parachutes to the passengers.
ok sounds good, but you’ll still be wrong in a week. Boeing will not be out of business. Just like the Toyota Stuck accelerator thing, this will pass and some money will change hands.
Schitt happens.
You know what’s scarier than flying commercially? Driving in the Colorado I-25 corridor with a bunch of dope heads.

LOL, I used to be a jet mechanic in the old days (USN) and I never liked the DC-10. There was something hodgepodge about it.
My wife and I were flying over to Spain, and we had to walk out onto the tarmac to board, and...cue dread music...it was an Iberian Airlines DC-10!
Gahhh. But what are you gonna do but board? One of the worst flights I took in my life, a real cattle car with a baby two rows up that squalled the entire time.
Now, I would just put on my sound cancelling earphones, but back then...NADA!

Southwest sent the 717s they got in the merger to Delta. They should be back to an all 737 fleet now.
737 is all they fly.
