~The FReeper Canteen Presents~ Road Trip: Dugway Proving Ground, Utah
Dugway Proving Ground (DPG) is a U.S. Army facility established in 1942 to test biological and chemical weapons, located about 85 miles southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah and 13 miles south of the 2,624 sq mi Utah Test and Training Range forming the largest overland special use airspace in the United States.

Dugway's mission is to test United States and Allied biological and chemical weapon defense systems in a secure and isolated environment. DPG also serves as a facility for US Army Reserve and US National Guard maneuver training, and US Air Force flight testsmostly from nearby Hill Air Force Base in Clearfield. DPG is controlled by the United States Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC). The area has also been used by Army special forces for training in preparation for deployments to the War in Afghanistan.
Activities included aerial nerve agent testing. According to reports from New Scientist, Dugway was still producing quantities of anthrax spores as late as 2015, more than four decades after the United States renounced biological weapons, and shipping the material to military bases and military contractors around the globe.
The transcontinental Lincoln Highway passed through the present site of the Dugway Proving Ground, and is the only section of the old highway closed to the public. At least one old wooden bridge over a creek still stands. The name Dugway comes from a technique of digging a trench into a hillside to create a flat surface along which a wagon can travel.

As Kathy says a lot .... ODAAT. One Day At A Time.
You got knocked down pretty hard and it'll take a while but it'll happen before you know it.
But if you're an impatient person like I am, you probably want to be back on your feet yesterday. LOL
The important thing is you're home and you're back at FR with your FRiends. :-)

Well darn. I’d hoped you’d gotten some more rain.
We weren’t supposed to get rain today so I was disgusted to see we did get it.
Nope, no break tonight. I’m getting ready to get to work. Had a crazy afternoon because I’d forgotten I had a meeting at 4:30. Set me back on everything this evening and now that I’ve caught my breath, it’s time to get to it. Ugh!
All the time put into dealing with that mess and the dent is still awfully small. She had way too many years hoarding and I don’t know if we have enough years left in us to get it all dealt with. LOL

Aww...was hoping you were taking a break tonight. If only you didn’t have to search through every piece of trash it would go way faster!

Had a great time at the lake yesterday. Giz did some digging for moles and gophers in the grassy areas.
I see your area is in an "Enhanced" risk for severe weather today. Also a Wind Watch for Wednesday. You guys stay safe down there.

There was too long a break last week when it was too cold to work in there. Gotta make the best of it when it’s warm enough, like it is now.
I hauled 12 bags full of junk out tonight and the stairs are clear! WOOHOO! Got a lot cleared off the top landing, too, but though there’s still a lot piled on it, it has to wait until tomorrow night. Back says “STOP!” and I listen.
Yep, having to look through every little thing makes progress mighty slow. If I could just grab-and-bag the stuff, that house might be cleaned out by now. LOL
But I’ve already learned that could be a huge mistake.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
How’d your day at the lake go, or was the weather ugly enough to keep you and Gizmo home?

Glad you two had a great time. Gizmo’s really getting into digging for lil varmints these days, isn’t he? One of these days, he might get lucky and find one. It’ll probably surprise the heck out of him. LOL

Yep. BTW folks we are under a High Wind Watch for Wednesday. They're forecasting winds gusting to 55 MPH tomorrow here in our area.I do expect an upgrade sometime today to a warning.
Hopefully our utility gird will survive this wind event. We'll see.

It’s really weird right now. Nice and sunny and above freezing in the daytime, and then the sheets of melt-water turn to ice during the cold nights. That can be scary! :-(
