Of course it is over. It was declared to be over during the Carter administration.

A customer and friend in the PANG, was Captain of a AC-130U 'Spooky' in Afghanistan, for 3 tours, and gave me the clip of 40mm shells and a 125mm Howitzer shell, plus his wing's pocket medallion. It was a formidable plane back them; bet it's a real ass-kicker now.

ERROR:

That’d be 105mm, not 125mm Howitzer.
I need to take a Prevagen.

Very cool.

However, hard to believe that a couple terrorists with shoulder fired SAMs can't put it face first into the dirt.

It's my understanding that USA troops now have line-of-sight missile aiming goggles that are impervious to normal missile defense systems.

In other words, the missile flies directly at the target the goggles are staring at, regardless of flares, chaff, or electronic counter-measures.

The day of SpecOps is drawing to a close.

The theory is wrong.

If they can’t beat the Taliban, they can’t beat anybody. We need an army and a navy that can beat China in a stand up fight, so we don’t have to have one.

Unless we start using it to defend the country, at the border, there is no use in spending the money for these weapons.

My nursery/garden center/lscp contracting business did free design and installation for all returning service members, and since his family’s home was new, it was a breeze. He gave me those shells & PANG Medallion, which I still have, as a thank you.

Cap’n Scott and I used to go shooting together, before I got sick in 2017 w/ Acute-Severe Pancreatitis.
