Decriminalizing prostitution an idea gaining momentum among some Democrats, including at least one 2020 presidential contender may one day be traced back to the hookers plying their trade under the elevated train along New York Citys Roosevelt Avenue.
That open-air market of prostitutes and johns in Queens, undeterred by the constant threat of arrest and incarceration, has been cited by New York state lawmakers mulling whether its time to wave the white flag in the war on the worlds oldest profession.

Basic biology fail.
Without the exchange of bodily fluid, the rate and type of disease spread between your two examples isn’t even close.
After I posted, I looked it up on the Internet.
Prostitution in Nevada is permitted in licensed brothels in just eight counties in that state.
Prostitution is a misdemeanor everywhere else in Nevada, even in those eight counties if the prostitution takes place outside of the licensed brothels.
Legal prostitution grosses $75 million per year in Nevada.
Illegal prostitution in Las Vegas alone brings in $5 Billion....with a “b”....per year, 66 times more money spent on illegal prostitution than legal.
I remember seeing an episode of “Cops” a number of years ago. The camera crew was with Las Vegas Metro. A prostitute was arrested, and the police had her tested for the HIV virus. The woman tested positive, and the police told her if she is arrested again, she would be charged with a felony, instead of a misdemeanor.
My state legalized mj. Result?
Explosive increase in ILLEGAL mj growing, meth, heroin, assaults, car wrecks, car burnings, car theft, break ins and other theft, AS 1 (usually gun shot wounds), etcetc.
Some things are just morally wrong and to legalize them increases the problems associated with them.
Legalizing prostitution means more corrupt politicians, more under-age sex slavery, more disease, more human trafficking, more violent sex crimes, and stuff other people mentioned. Plus criminals and perverts are attracted from all over the place. Once OR legalized mj, criminals and thugs and weirdos from all over flooded the prime mj growing areas.
So then idiots say “well, all states should legalize”. More stupidity.
Depends on the municipality.
Don’t plan to rely on that assertion before a judge.
Very interesting story!
Lol, theyll do about as well with this as legalized marijuana. By the time the inspectors and the taxes are revealed, it will be back to business as usual.
Willie Brown, the famous Kalifornia pokitition has confirmed that he gave her lucrative political appointments in return for sexual favors when she was young.
It sounds a whole lot like prostitution or a mistress to me.
Her p**** is free.
There was an interview with a former prostitute on FNC the other day (I think on Laura Ingraham’s show) who explained why this is a terrible idea.
What’s that from?
You just can’t make this stuff up. It’s not difficult to see why she’d have a soft spot for hookers.
Free Willy’s Willie!
Bingo You are so correct. There is no Federal Law against Prostitution. She is proposing something that if elected President she would be powerless to implement.
Something about sand comes to mind...
Kamala: Not Eligible for President
The dims are now all for building windmills everywhere that are killing birds by the thousands, not a peep from the environuts now. They have very flexible beliefs and no sense of shame.
Quid pro quo, or in her case, tit for tat.
“Its not a victimless crime- disease is spread by this activity- and innocent people get affected by it, doctors, nurses, health workers, hospital patients- etc= in many different ways- and we the people end up paying for lifelong very very expensive drugs and healthcare for those who engage in it-”
If it were legal, the women wouldn’t have to hide and get proper health care and wouldn’t need to ply their trade to pay for drugs....just sayin’
