Trump is an Army of One: No Other President Can Withstand This Blistering Barrage
American Thinker ^ | 03/11/2019 | By Brian C. Joondeph

Presidents typically have the backing and support of their political party. Although all presidents have the bully pulpit to broadcast their messages, the presidency is a busy job and the president must delegate messaging and branding to surrogates, including elected officials in the president’s party.

Barack Obama had legions of apologists and defenders. Every Congressional Democrat and scores of leftovers from the Clinton administration were ready, willing, and able to defend all things Obama, as well as viciously pounce on any of his detractors. The Obamacare and Benghazi scandals were vociferously shielded from any criticism.

Bill Clinton enjoyed the same support from Team Democrat, particularly when navigating his scandal-filled two terms in office and impeachment. His supporters attacked independent counsel Kenneth Starr incessantly, impugning his character and calling him a pervert.

In addition, all Democrat presidents have the unwaveringly loyal support of the media, print and digital. News coverage of past Democrat presidents has mostly been favorable, overlooking negative stories and supplying an abundance of humanizing puff pieces. Democrat presidential candidates are routinely endorsed by most major newspapers in America.

Then along came Donald Trump, previously a member of each political party at different times in his life when such party affiliation served his interests. The truth was he was never a Democrat or a Republican, at least as they are defined today. Instead he is a problem solver, beholden to no one and not part of the political establishment. His loyalty is only to America and those who voted for him, not to the donor classes and globalist elites.

Seeking the presidency, he understood the folly of running as a third-party candidate, at least officially, although in reality he was very much a third-party candidate, joining the GOP as the lessor of two evils. He was not part of either party’s ruling cabal, having never held elective office or political appointment. He did not campaign or arrive at the White House with an entourage of advisors and staff, from previous stints as a governor or senator. Trump was an army of one.

I honestly believe that The DonaldTM thrives off of this type of attention. Might be his Queens upbringing, or from his family, but he seems to do quite well when the heat is on.

He’s right. Where’s his backup? Surrounded by cowards.

This the real reason Dems took back House control...so many Republicans chose to leave Congress instead of staying and working with the President. They decided to quit instead of holding their ground.

RE: so many Republicans chose to leave Congress instead of staying and working with the President.

That still does not explain why the American voters DID NOT ELECT THE GOP candidates in 2018. It seems as if most Americans simply want gridlock...

Well if so, they got their wish.

THIS is what enrages them so. He, is not one of 'them'..........................

When you spend the better part of your life dealing with unions, criminals and government regulations, as well as politicians around the world, you become pretty adept at handling issues and resolving problems. I said it before and I will say it again, Trump is the best project manager in the world, bar none.

The GOP is revealing itself as the Cheap Labor Express party and the wage supression party. It's pretty obvious that is what the GOP'ers are all about, kowtowing to global corporatist interests.

The GOP is just not good of a product.

So many of those Dem wins came in California, which has by far the most House districts. Some they won outright. Others they stole through “vote harvesting” and severely gerrymandered districts. There are 53 House districts in CA, and the Dems hold 46 of those seats. That’s more than enough to swing House control to the Dems.

Trump was shaped more by his Father than his business dealings. I strongly suggest that you watch the A&E show “The Trump Dynasty”. Trump fans will not care for some of it (as I did not) but there is a lot of back round of well documented open facts that are interesting and pertain to Trump’s development and personality.

"...he was never a Democrat or a Republican..."

I often pointed this out during the campaign; He is, in fact, a pragmatic businessman who will strive to do what works best - for the economy, for business, for the social order, for everything.

In the old days, pragmatic and pragmatism were condemned on Free Republic. Only conservative purity was tolerated

President Trump is attempting a hostile takeover of the GOP. He is trying to give the citizens some representation in a government that has long been dominated by two parties that are hell bent on turning the USA into North Mexico.

Until we stop electing Bush League Republicans, including the ones Trump endorses, we will never get border security or be able to restore the rule of law.

We MUST have one party that sides with the citizens and the rule of law.
Voting repeatedly for Amnesty Senators like Graham, Rubio, Hoeven, Murkowsky, Corker, McCain, Hatch, Romney, Flake, Heller, Tillis, Burr, Lankford, Gardner, Cornyn, Cochran, Collins, Sasse, Kennedy, Shelby, Ernst, Blunt, McConnell, Wicker, Portman, Isakson, Johnson, Toomey, Rounds, Thune, Gaines, Barasso and Enzi WILL NEVER change anything.

“He’s right. Where’s his backup? Surrounded by cowards.”

And what about us? How many of us have taken to the streets in support of him, or have let the RINOs feel the heat?

Unlike the leftist activists who hold their politicos feet to the fire, all we do is vote and go back to sleep.

A big part of it is the lives "we" lead, generally. We have more responsibilities, more going on in our lives.

We have jobs to work.
We have businesses to run.
We have families to support and raise.
We go to church, (or synagogue).

So many of the activist leftist are kids, for which none of the above apply. They've got lots of spare time on their hands with which to get into trouble.
