Democrats will never vote to get money out of politics; it’s why they run for office. The sheer number of “artificial” multimillionaires in Congress, who got rich on low six-figure salaries bears this out.
They mean to get REPUBLICAN money out of politics. Whatever the rules, they don’t apply to the RAT party.
What is needed is to require that all political donations be ANONYMOUS. They can’t sell influence if they don’t know who is buying. Americans should be allowed to donate any amount they please to any candidate or party they choose; that is FREEDOM. But purchasing an outcome makes it bribery, a crime. Punish the rule-breakers accordingly.
Some have argued that it won’t work, as they will cheat. That’s the same as saying that because some will climb over or tunnel under a border wall, we should not have one.

anytime i am face-to-face with a liberal who claims they want to get “money out of politics” i ask if they are willing to demand all union money be removed from politics...the conversation promptly ends..
