A San Jose man has been arrested for impersonating a federal agent following an investigation which began when the suspect pulled over someone who was actually a federal agent, authorities said.
The Drug Enforcement Administration said Tuesday that Alex Taylor, 49, was arrested March 2 outside his home in San Jose, with agents seizing a Volkswagen Jetta with police-type lighting, two firearms, an imitation DEA badge and concealed weapons badge, handcuffs and a small amount of methamphetamine.
In a press release, DEA Special Agent in Charge Chris Nielsen said the investigation began in December 2018 when Taylor allegedly conducted a traffic stop in San Jose on an off-duty federal agent. Taylor allegedly wore a DEA badge and identified himself as a DEA agent, but the off-duty agent challenged Taylors authority to write a ticket. After the off-duty agent identified herself, Taylor returned to his vehicle and drove off, Nielsen said.

There’s more than one way to get free drugs. :)
Why are the Feds upset? They aren’t upset by illegal aliens, crimes committed by FBI and IRS leadership, or Hillary crimes.
Cut him some slack.
Calif. is a sanctuary and the guy is just a Trans DEA-Agent.
They don’t like competition.......................
If he self identifies as a DEA Agent, isn’t that equally valid as being one?
Why not? The fact he is clearly pulling over women is chilling.
He’s just an undocumented DEA agent coming out of the shadows, you xenophobes.
So, he identifies as a DEA Agent, what’s the big problem (LoL)
We all got a kick out of seeing his photo on the local news following his arrest.
The arrest occurred in July 2016 but he never went to trial until early December 2017........He got three more years.
Still can't figure out why it takes so damn long for trials to take place after arrests are made.
California...fruits and nuts, fruits and nuts.
(Excluding the many wonderful FReepers, of course)
A friend’s daughter was severely beaten by a man who had been out on bail awaiting a trial for murder. He had been on bail for five years. By the time he was rearrested he had killed someone else.
At least the reporter didn’t say they uncovered an arsenal.
Yep! And he’s if he’s an illegal, he surely is just trying to make a better life for his family.
So they need to just let him go and ask him not to do that again.
Seriesly - he probably goes around stopping people all the time, then taking bribes for “letting them go”... Could be a lucrative occupation.
it seems strange that the real officer didn’t arrest him on the spot.
