But Ilhan Omar posed a problem. Her hate was different because it was directed toward a group that mostly supports Democrats. Think about it: what she said about Jews was far milder than what Democrats say about President Trump and his supporters every day. They constantly call Trump a traitor. It was also milder than what many liberals say about white people on MSNBC, without drawing a peep from the Democrats leadership. If Omar had trained her fire on the right, or groups associated with the right, like whites or rural Americans, no Democrat would have minded.
Ilhan Omar hates like a Democrat, and she openly expresses that hate like a Democrat. The problem is that she hates people who mostly support the Democratic Party. Not only that, by openly expressing her bigotry she has exposed an important rift among the Democrats. Like the Labour Party in Great Britain, the Democratic Party has become a haven for anti-Semites. (Actually, it has been that for a long time: see, for example, Crown Heights and Hymietown.) Today, the fact that many Democrats dont like Jews is becoming harder to conceal. Omar has made it harder still.
I thought the House Democrats original resolution condemning anti-Semitism, without naming Ilhan Omar, was anodyne. I thought she probably could vote for it. But that resolution, which referred only to anti-Semitism, was withdrawn by leadership, reportedly because of an outpouring of support for Omar within the party. That support didnt come from people who doubted that she is an anti-Semiteshe has made that blindingly clear, repeatedly!but rather from people who share her particular bigotry.
So the Democrats are in a tight spot. Leadership has had to back off, and is in the process of substituting a resolution that toes the party line

Maybe this will wake some big money folks like Bloomberg up.
He who once said that crime is over reported in NYC.
He said he thought whites commit LESS crime than the stats showed.
So at one time he was at least sane and actually had a few decent stands on issues.
Before he went all “I HATE GUNS!!!”
We shall see.
If they wanted to embarrass the Democrats further, the GOP could introduce a similar resolution in the Senate.
No, it fuels their burning self-righteousness.
Mo-Ham-Mad(s). Its what they are and do. I fully expect the resolution to condemn the Americans murdered on the planes and the Americans murdered on 911 in the Twin Towers and Pentagon
THAT’s a pretty durn good article.
Pathetic democrats manouvering to make the muslima nazi the victim, and by implication all muslims. They want to muzzle any critique of islam itself. That’s their goal. And the reason for this vacillation. They just gotta get the language right
“DO DEMS HATE HATE? NO”
Are dems hated? Yes.
In other words, they hate the people who point out the hypocrisy of their hatred of those who hate.

They embrace hate. They couldn’t live without it.
They are hate!
When have we ever believed that Democratic politicians care about anything except themselves and their own selfish political ambitions?
Jewish Democrats in the House care about anti-Semitism about as much as Nancy Pelosi cares about the homeless multitudes destroying San Francisco. That is, not at all.
And are the citizens of San Francisco concerned enough about their homeless crisis and bothered enough by the fact that Nancy doesn’t care about it to vote her out of office? Never.
The resolution that was supposed to condemn Ilhan Omar for her anti-Semitism but will instead condemn racism will help Democrats win future elections. For example, when Jewish Democrats are asked the obvious question, How can a Jew belong to an anti-Semitic party, they’ll reply: Racism is everywhere! It’s not just Jews who are singled out, blah, blah, blah!
In fact, will Jewish voters even care enough to ask their Jewish representatives such a question? Probably not.
Man, it’s frightening, the hate they feel and express. Is there a peaceful political solution? We shall see.
He used the phrase 'I hate' CONSTANTLY. I don't think he even realized he was doing it. But it was I hate, I hate, I hate...
One of the main reasons I got rid of Facebook.
DIMS are hate.
What’s hating hate? Is that like washing away water?
more sjw than thou?
this isn’t even liberal. it is illiberal.
Hate is the fuel that propels the DemocRATS.
