“But I’m positive they will find friendly judges who will rule against the feds cutting off ANY money to the states.”

That’s their only recourse now. 21 states suing the government to kill more babies. Man, I wish the civil war would start because this country is getting choc full of assholes who need adult abortions via lead..

Why, in the name of compassion, did the Feds EVER get involved in funding these monsters?

Seriously, how did that happen. They don’t fund appendectomies or carpel tunnel.

No standing. The states are NOT Planned Parenthood.

Well then, take it to the Supremes to determine if the Constitution requires the federal government sponsor wholesale slaughter and retail of infant parts.

The title reads: “21 states, DC sue Trump administration over rules cutting Planned Parenthood funding”

However, the article has the following statement:

The article reads: “California ... and a coalition of 19 other states, and the District of Columbia ...”

Since when is the District of Columbia “a state?”

I have never figured out how they got federal funding in the first place. I have looked but haven’t found anything. Perhaps someone can help lighten me.

It took a some digging, but I found this...

Gov’t Funding of Planned Parenthood: A Dark History

...As of today, the abortion giant continues to receive half a billion dollars in federal taxpayer money each year.

The use of federal taxpayer dollars to fund the abortion industry has a long history in the United States stretching back nearly four decades, to the presidency of Richard Nixon, a strong proponent of population control.

Concerned by the threat of overpopulation, Nixon issued a statement in 1969 proposing the creation of a Commission on Population Growth. He wrote, “When future generations evaluate the record of our time, one of the most important factors in their judgment will be the way in which we responded to population growth.”

In the statement, Nixon warned of the global threat to humankind if population were allowed to grow unchecked, and he offered a number of common myths about the dire consequences that would result if nations failed to stem population growth. He pledged America’s full support of the United Nations in its efforts at population control around the world.

He also proposed federal funding of contraception. “I believe, therefore, that we should establish as a national goal the provision of adequate family planning services within the next five years to all those who want them but cannot afford them. This we have the capacity to do.”

Thus was born Title X — the nation’s only federal grant program devoted to promoting contraception.

Then-U.S. Representative George H.W. Bush — who would later go on to become the 41st president of the United States — was chief sponsor of the Title X bill. “We need to make population and family planning household words,” said Bush. “We need to take sensationalism out of this topic .... . If family planning is anything, it is a public health matter.”....

Less check up services provided, yet MORE taxpayer $$ provided to this evil entity....

New Report Shows Planned Parenthood Raked in $1.5 Billion in Taxpayer Funds Over 3 Years

https://www.heritage.org/marriage-and-family/commentary/new-report-shows-planned-parenthood-raked-15-billion-taxpayer-funds

......Over a three-year period, Planned Parenthood and its affiliates spent $288 million in federal funds. They also received $1.2 billion in funding from Medicaid, which combines federal and state funds.

That adds up to a whopping total of $1.5 billion in taxpayer funds from federal health programs.

Yet despite receiving billions in taxpayer funds over the course of three years, Planned Parenthood’s scope and services have both declined.

The organization’s 2015-2016 report revealed that Planned Parenthood served 100,000 fewer women in 2015-2016 compared to 2014-2015. Their number of health centers and affiliates declined, and they performed fewer cancer screenings and prevention services.

They also performed fewer breast examinations, fewer HPV vaccinations, and provided prenatal services to 8,000 fewer women than the previous year.

But the abortion giant did perform several thousand more abortions than the year prior: 328,348 compared to the previous year’s 323,999. Moreover, Planned Parenthood performed 83 abortions for every one adoption referral......

~~~~
Completely defund this evil group.
If the government subsidizes people in the abortion business and yet claims the money will not be used for abortions, the money still frees up other funds to be redirected to the abortion business since their other efforts are paid by federal funds.
Don’t accept this “the money doesn’t go for abortions” dodge. It pays for them indirectly.
Increasingly There is no presidency, unelected “resistance” judges run our country.
This is not how checks and balances were supposed to work—the founders would be appalled at lower courts striking down nearly everything a president does.
No, not bad at all!
America's Founders and freedom lovers everywhere were/are not concerned about the judgments of their contemporaries, but of "the Supreme Judge of the world" (Declaration of Independence) and of their posterity in centuries to come.
