The Alameda County District Attorneys office has filed criminal felony charges against a software engineer who allegedly attacked a conservative activist at the University of California, Berkeley campus on Feb. 19.
The charges against Zachary Greenberg, 28, include three felony counts and one misdemeanor count, according to a criminal complaint obtained by Fox News.
The felony counts relate to assault and causing, or intending to cause, bodily injury, and criminal threats. A misdemeanor count is related to vandalism, the complaint shows.
The charges come five days after police arrested Greenberg for allegedly attacking Hayden Williams, who is 26 and not a student, while he was manning a recruitment table on campus for the conservative group Turning Point USA.
We are pleased that the good investigative work of our police department has led to the filing of these charges, said Dan Mogoluf, assistant vice chancellor at UC-Berkeley, to Fox News. The university believes that those who violate the free speech rights of others must be held accountable and face the appropriate consequences.
Greenberg is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday at the Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse in Oakland.

This should also qualify as a "Hate Crime", due to Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Of course Greenberg can hope for an “O.J. jury” of jurors who will vote to acquit just because they approve of social justice warriors taking action.
Hey, maybe there is hope for this country.

Absolutely!
Hate crime.
Likely that in that venue, the charges will be bargained down to “disorderly conduct”, and the judgment will amount to a slap on the wrist.
Dissent is sacrosanct, you know, but only the “correct” kind of dissent.
Civil suit is still a possibility, but good luck finding a sympathetic jury in THAT pool.
Well, he IS appearing at the Wile E Coyote courthouse so anything can happen
Where does the Brownshirt work? The article said he is a software engineer.
The politically charged confrontation in a hallway at Edmond Santa Fe High School occurred Monday during the schools Double Wolf Dare Week, a series of fundraising assemblies and events. As part of the annual fundraising effort, students who donate $1 are allowed to wear hats and other gear that typically wouldnt be permitted, school officials said in a statement.
A 33-second clip of the incident shows the students both of whom are seniors standing in the middle of a hallway as the black, 18-year-old student approaches the white student, who is 17, Edmond police told The Post.
The white student then tries to walk past his classmate, who threatens to rip it off while tugging at the 17-year-olds multicolored cape, which was decorated with the words, TRUMP 2020, Keep America Great, according to a police incident report.
I agreed to stop, and the individual approached me, the younger teen later told police. He then told a nearby girl to come over and record this.
He came closer to me and asked, Why are you wearing that flag?
The teen said he told his classmate that he felt like wearing the items given the ongoing festivities at the school.
He then declined to remove the garments when asked by his classmate, the teen told police.
He then threatened me and said that if I did not take it off, he would assault me and take it, the incident report continues. I still declined to remove the flag. He then flipped off my ball cap and proceeded to cuss me and grab the flag.

I don't think that's gonna work, but they can certainly give it a try.

Liar. You know that the reaction was really along the lines of, "They identified him and charged him? That idiot was told to wear some face cover! You just can't hire good help these days!"
