Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff Saikat Chakrabarti obtained majority control of Justice Democrats PAC in December 2017, according to archived copies of the group’s website, and the two appear to retain their control of the group, according to corporate filings obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.
If the Federal Election Commission (FEC) finds that the New York Democrat’s campaign operated in affiliation with the PAC, which had raised more than $1.8 million before her June 2018 primary, it would open them up to “massive reporting violations, probably at least some illegal contribution violations exceeding the lawful limits,” former FEC commissioner Brad Smith said.
Ocasio-Cortez never disclosed to the FEC that she and Chakrabarti, who served as her campaign chair, controlled the PAC while it was simultaneously supporting her primary campaign, and former FEC commissioners say the arrangement could lead to multiple campaign finance violations. The group backed 12 Democrats during the 2018 midterms, but Ocasio-Cortez was the only winner.
“If the facts as alleged are true, and a candidate had control over a PAC that was working to get that candidate elected, then that candidate is potentially in very big trouble and may have engaged in multiple violations of federal campaign finance law.
And fellow former FEC commissioner Brad Smith told TheDCNF that if “a complaint were filed, I would think it would trigger a serious investigation.” He also noted that such a probe could potentially result in jail time for Ocasio-Cortez and her chief of staff, Chakrabarti.
Republican election attorney Charlie Spies told TheDCNF: “It looks like the campaign and PAC are under common control and the PAC was funding campaign staff and activities as an alter-ego of the campaign committee, which would be a blatant abuse of the PAC rules.”

This is how deep state works. Ya mess with them, you go off script, they go after you. I actually see parallels between AOC and Trump. It has all been very predictable. Whatever you think about AOC, she was elected by her district. Now various government agencies will nullify the election, either remove her from office, or shut her down. This is not America.

then (C) came to the Sanders campaign after (cough) growing disillusioned with the tech world.
So......Chakrabarti's tech skills musta come in really handy when donations to Bernie were wire-transferred to the DNC
and ended up in Hillary's account. Debbie W/S headed the DNC at the time and was ousted b/c of her bias for Hillary.

One reason I became a Republican is because of Grey Davis. He was the “moral leadership” of the Dems in California in the 1990’s. He turned out to be completely corrupt.

Holy sh*t!!!! I wrote to them last week expressing concern that she won by voter fraud. I use to live in her district which is now overrun with one of the highest populations of illegals in the country who regularly receive welfare and food stamps using fake IDs. I told them I suspected she organized these illegals to vote for her which is why she had this “surprise” win and why besides the climate change hoax, her main focus is always on protecting illegals. Anyone else want to write to them, here is the address....Oh please please arrest her! Yes!!

sounds like something Buzzfeed would say...
The person who signed off, or ‘pushed’ the button....was the chief of staff for AOC. With this frame of mind....he’s the only one that will be facing FEC issues. Just on the fine alone...I’d be guessing $50,000 will be the minimum. As for jail-time? I doubt that they’d go to that length, but there’s likely to be some strong words by the Commission or judges involved...that he not handle funding for a period of time.
She has to restart her campaign already again in 12 months, and she needs this guy on board. What I can’t understand....this left-over campaign money would have been nice to have in 2020’s next House election for AOC. They were basically going to suggest to the public that they were broke, and needed new cash, and then bring this money into the election at a later date.
Not going to happen.

I am VERY disappointed...(s). All this time AOC has been pushing universal equality, and everyone sharing in the wealth... But it seems that she is just a grifter like all the others. Taking it for herself and not spreading it around to others, like she preaches.
