Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is speaking out after his fellow statesman Rand Paul comes out against the president’s national emergency declaration at the border.
On Monday, McConnell spoke to reporters in Louisville and said he believes, with Paul’s vote, the Democrat-led resolution to block the president’s order will pass in the Senate.
He went on to say President Trump would most likely issue his first veto to strike down the bill.
McConnell also predicted House Democrats will vote to override the veto, but said it would likely fail without a two-thirds majority of lawmakers.
So far, four GOP senators have publicly announced they would side with Democrats on the vote.

Veto
If he doesn’t think it’s an emergency, why doesn’t he go live on the border for a month or so and not in a “gated community”.
In 2020, these Bush League Republican Senators must be replaced with patriots who side with the citizens and the rule of law:
Gardner, McSally, Daines, Collins, Cornyn, Capito, Enzi, Rounds, Graham, Tillis, Sasse, Hyde-Smith, McConnell.
We have to stop electing Amnesty Senators if we want to keep our country.
F them. Veto it. Period. Primary McConnell, and go after every single person in elected office who does not put the US first and foremost. Why do we keep putting the least qualified, least ethical, and least talented people in public office?

He is the president - this is national security - he will get the job done any way he can.

She isn’t up again until 2022, same as Micro Rubio.
They both need to go then.
So much for his public promise to support Trump on this. The turtle is ether a lair or is not strong enough to lead the senate. I think lair.
So Rand is running in 2020.

So the resolution passes and Trump vetos it.
Not enough voted to override the veto and the kabuki theater moves on.
The resolution may well pass but it won’t be by much. The veto will take care of the naysayers and it won’t be overridden.
