House Democrats have "legitimate" reasons to obtain President Trump's tax returns and "will take all necessary steps" to get their hands on them, Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) office said Friday.
“Every day the American people and Congress learn more about President Trump’s improprieties, from conflicts of interest to influence peddling, potential tax evasion and violations of the Constitution – all roads leading back to President Trump’s finances," Pelosi spokeswoman Ashley Etienne said in a statement. "These improprieties, and the lack of transparency around them, give the House legitimate legislative, oversight and legal reasons to review the President’s tax returns."
"We will take all necessary steps, including litigation, if necessary, to obtain them," she added. "Given President Trump’s recalcitrance, the committees with jurisdictional and legislative equities are working with the Ways and Means Committee to ensure the House is able to present the strongest possible case.”

When Obama was President, and ran the IRS, he could’ve just handed them over for the asking.
They’ve likely had access to them since Trump first brought up the Little Kenyan Boy’s birth certificate
Isn’t it a fact, that you need some probable cause, of some criminal action, to be able to get someone’s tax returns? Doesn’t it have to be some crime which touches on financial matters, which in turn would lead to getting access to tax returns?
In other words, does Nancy Pelosi really have any authority, due to Congressional hearings being held, or any other legal reason, to have access to those tax returns, barring probable cause of some crime?
Why do they feel that they need his tax returns?
This is just juvenile behavior from an old woman.

She needs to grow up.
And when they find nothing, they will be asking for a rectal exam because they are sure he is hiding something, somewhere.
If she keeps this up, i bet her tax returns will be displayed for all to see well before Trumps.
Well, the law is going to be a huge hurdle.

She said the magic words, no matter that she gave no specifics. She’ll give you the specifics after he hands over his tax returns.

Trump tried to talk nice with Nancy when the Dems took the House. It clearly didn’t work. I wonder if he’s at all surprised.
Is this a free country or the Soviet Union? Obama started this by using the IRS to target political opposition groups. This is horrifying. If there were any irregularities the IRS would have flagged and audited Trump years ago.
Border security? Not important. Babies murdered? Who cares. Getting N. Korea to de-nuclearize the Korean Peninsula? Publicity stunt. What this country needs is Trumps IRS records because . . . because . . well there might be something damaging in there.
Trump should simply state when Pelosi and Sanders turn their’s in so will he...
