On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Canada ordered that a 14-year-old girl receive testosterone injections without parental consent. The court also declared that if either of her parents referred to her using female pronouns or addressed her by her birth name, they would be considered guilty of family violence.
As previously reported, Maxine* was encouraged by her school counselor in BC’s Delta School District to identify as a boy while in seventh grade. When Maxine was 13 years old, Dr. Brenden Hursh and his colleagues at BC Children’s Hospital decided that Maxine should begin taking testosterone injections in order to develop a more masculine appearance.

“Can’t stop girl” - misleading headline. The real issue is that the parents can’t stop other adults from manipulating their daughter into undergoing hormone treatments. A 14 year old has no ability to make such decisions for herself - a sane society places the responsibility for serious medical treatments on her parents and doctors. Canada apparently would rather let school counselors and other unqualified busy-bodies meddle in children’s lives. This is nothing but state-sanctioned child abuse.

There should be a law not permitting sex change therapies until at least 21.
Where are the doctors?
Wow, saw this happen on a medical TV show and thought “well, that’s kind of unbelievable - it’s just Hollywood wishful thinking. Well, looks like that TV shows knew about this British case.
Canadian case, I mean.
Liberals are doing/have been doing this with those same objectives in mind. Yet, naive liberal parents are going along because they're terrified of being labeled as backward/prejudiced/old fashioned..........
After all, all they're sacrificing is their children, and in their minds, that's a small sacrifice to the god of political correctness.
Society/civilization is regressing rapidly. As Western Civilization dances in its freak show, the enemies under Islam and countries such as China sharpen their knives where they suppress with an iron fist degeneracy keeping order. They bide their time.

I’d defy those damned judges. If they tried to do something about it I’d hang them.
The Supreme Court of BC should take hemlock.
Can the parents drop her off their health insurance? Can she be immancipated? Can the parents legally relinquish parental rights to the government?
With all this hooey from the judge, including calling HER a she instead of a he, I’d leave her on the judge’s doorstep and suffer whatever comes my way. If the parents are in jail, hey, who’s to pay for her hormones?
At least most gay men are clean. Can’t say the same for gay women.
The GIRL could stop this abuse toward HER parents any time SHE wants. Wonder what sort of attitude SHE has went told to clean HER room?
Parents are separated. "Maxine" lives with mom who supports the transition.
It's dad who's fighting to stop it.
The girl needs psychiatric help.
If she was one of my kids, I would tell her that it was almost nice knowing you, leave my house and do not darken my door again. I would back that up with a restraining order, change her last name, and destroy all records of her existence.
For this idiot girl to take the problem to a Court, shows her desire to be independent. So be it, “You are on your own.”
