Since his election, Governor Walz has promised to increase the gas tax in Minnesota. Walz delivered on that promise in his just-released budget proposal. In the budget proposal released this week, Walz is proposing to increase the gas tax by 70% which will collect an estimated $1.3 Billion from taxpayers.
The average family which drives two cards can expect to pay up to an additional $300 at the gas pump annually. This tax increase will now give Minnesota the 4th highest gas tax in the nation.
The budget will have to get passed by the Minnesota Senate which is currently controlled by Republicans. Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelks quickly denounced the gas tax along with several other tax increases supported by Governor Walz.
“This is the kind of budget you get when you promise everyone everything. Minnesotans do not want to pay a 48-cent per gallon gas tax, higher tab fees and motor vehicle taxes, and a tax on doctor visits just for being sick. It’s unfair, unsustainable, and sets us up for a budget deficit in the near future. With this budget, we may as well call Minnesota a cold California.” said Gazelka

I think more of these taxes need to be passed before the situation will get better. Liberals are all for more taxes until it’s their taxes that get raised.

Not to be outdone the new Tony Evers Wisconsin budget will cost $2,000 a year more in taxes ... GO Socialism Yay, Rah Team! but has little chance of passing the Repub controlled Assembly and Senate ... fingers crossed.
However, if the State Supreme court race goes to the openly democrat activist, then all Evers’ wishes will come true and $2,000 will just be the start of repealing the last 8 years of Walker; meaning Wisconsin won’t have anything on Illinois, New York, or California.

NJ used to have some of the cheapest gas with FULL serve. The a-holes in Trenton raised the tax and now cheap gas is no more. NJ voters do not give a shit or had no idea. Some of these people are just brainwashed sheep who vote Rat no matter what. NJ is now forever blue. The GOP are just moderate Democrats. I live in a state that is rapidly dying run by another leftist Goldman Sachs SOB with obscene taxes,pension system about to burst,over regulation,Eco-Nazism,tyrannical representation and endless illegals who get FULL benefits and sanctuary. It is sad and sick to see and I will soon flee.
