Full headline: Why gun control will FAIL: People will simply refuse to obey unconstitutional firearms laws because Democrats have set the precedent
For years Democrat-run states have gotten away with implementing so-called sanctuary city policies that contravene federal immigration laws either because Uncle Sam refused to enforce them or, in the age of POTUS Donald Trump, because too many federal judges are better judicial activists than interpreters of the Constitution.
The same is true for marijuana laws. Democrat-run states decided a few years ago they would flout federal drug laws prohibiting the recreational use of marijuana by passing state ballot initiatives legalizing pot. Mind you, pots not legal as far as the federal government is concerned, but when the law isnt enforced, then lawlessness is what we get.
That said, when Democrats are flouting the law, thats okay; Democrats, as were constantly reminded, are the most moral, upstanding, righteous political creatures on the planet. But when others flout laws they pass, then, suddenly, we have a constitutional crisis on our hands.
Case in point: Voters in Washington passed Initiative 1639, or I-1639 as its more popularly known, in November, a ballot issue that calls for strict new gun control measures including enhanced background checks, a 10-day waiting period before the delivery of a semi-automatic assault rifle, proof of gun safety training within the past five years (or you cant buy a gun), and secure storage of firearms, whatever that means.

All those big bad cops were following orders to withdraw and regroup at 77th Division station, where an incident command post was being established, thus abandoning Florence Ave. and Normandie Ave. to the mob. Civilians, Reginald Denny among many others, were unfortunately victimized as a direct result of that failure. Things went down hill rapidly from that point on.
Shining examples of correct responses to the threat of violence was in evidence when the armed Koreans occupied rooftops to defend life and property and a primarily Jewish community closed access to their neighborhood by bearing arms and blockading the roads preventing unauthorized entry into their neighborhood. Anyone trying to enter that area was stopped, inspected and allowed entry only if residency was proven.

“Then they send armed men to take you in. You have the choice to surrender or die.”
That’s pretty shortsighted of you to think those are the only two options.
“Then they send armed men to take you in”
If they make a law whereby were all in the same boat, do you really think the situation is only viewed on a person by person basis?
When they come for all us at our homes, we won’t be home, we’ll be at THEIR houses!
And New Orleans cops went to prison.

Killing off those who give the orders is another. And those who passed the legislation having "accidents" or just disappearing could help.
I suspect if there is mass confiscation orders, then war, not police actions or individual confiscation, is on.
When war is on, everything else is off, including tax collections.
Something tells me the liberals can push but there is about to be a massive backlash by those very influential global people that benefit from tax collections.

“Democrats hate freedom, and democrats hate armed civilians who exercise their freedom”
They’re not ‘Democrats’.
I just looked on Wikipedia. Demographics in my town are about the same as they were 20 years ago.
I can tell you the sheriff out here has absolutely zero interest in toeing the Santa Fe line. The Torrance County Commission voted unanimously for the 2A sanctuary. MLG can come down here and try to enforce their new bills.
Maybe the first couple of times. Then, when they show up at your house, you won't be there, you'll be at theirs. Their enthusiasm will ebb very rapidly.

1960 U.S. Census ~87% of the population was white.>br> 2010 U.S. Census =62% was white.
Naturally, the major urban/suburban zones are where the highest concentrations of non-whites are living.
The Book Unintended Consequences convers this rather well.
After 600 federal agents died by basically sniper fire, there was less enthusiasm.
I was honestly surprised at our Democrat Sheriffs response, too. He came out and said theyd be unenforceable.
If there’s one thing cops hate, it’s people wasting their time. Santa Fe is screwing themselves with this one, plus MLG is showing herself to be a whiny baby.
Your demoralizing screed sounds just like the sort of thing a deep state leftist plant would say on a patriotic forum like this.
If you’ve truly surrendered, then go quietly and await your fate, but stop telling better men that the cause is lost.
That might work if there were only a small number of gun owners, but there are no fewer than 150,000,000 of us and over 400,000,000 guns.
Now, how many armed personnel can Big Brother field to carry out a nationwide confiscation? Less than two million total, between state and federal forces.
Two against one hundred and fifty? That's a suicide mission.
And what about defections, refusals to obey orders, and outright mutiny? Do you honestly think federal troops and law enforcement agents will mindlessly follow orders to commit such atrocities against their fellow citizens?
Its not going to happen. Just issuing such orders would start a war within the ranks.
You also assume the citizens would just sit quietly, while storm troopers raid house after house after house. You've got another think coming, bud. It would be the end of fedzilla as we know it.
Actually I’m TRYING to make the slippery slope argument because polling shows that even most gun owners in the country (maybe not on FR, but in the country as a whole) support “Common Sense Gun Safety Measures”...because they sound rather innocuous - except, of course, they’re just the starting point.
