DENVER Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper is expected to announce on March 7 he is running for President of the United States.
As first reported by the Colorado Sun, Hickenloopers campaign team has received a permit for an event in Denvers Civic Center Park.
Hickenlooper is going to announce he is running for President of the United States at this event, Andy Boian, a Colorado political strategist who has informally advised Hickenlooper over the years, said on the record.
A second source confirmed Hickenloopers intentions to make the announcement near the venues that shaped his political career.
Denvers Civic Center Park is between the City and County Building where Hickenlooper served as Mayor and the Colorado Capitol where Hickenlooper served two terms as Governor.
Officially no comment from Hickenloopers Campaign team on the expected announcement.
After getting a Greyhound bus, they could just paint “Loser’s Limo” on the side & that would pretty much include all Dems running for the office.
After getting a Greyhound bus, they could just paint “Loser’s Limo” on the side & that would pretty much include all Dems running for the office. Why spend a lot of money for all the different campaigns?
A white Jamaican. His father was a landowner when only whites could own land.
I’ll vote for your cat in the primary.
Actually JH would pose a threat to DJTs re-election.
Fortunately he would have to run as a socialist to get traction in the primary, which is likely wired to someone else. So the threat is minimal.
However, hes a likable guy, ex geologist, Democrats do well in Colorado. He and Bloomberg are the biggest threats should they get past the primary.
Wondering if its not the same strategy, just replace Bush with Clinton.
> Ill vote for your cat in the primary. <
She would appreciate that. And here’s her campaign slogan: More cats, less rats!
The debate stage could collapse with so many on stage.
There will never be a “President Hick-n-looper”
“A white Jamaican.”
If you look at readily available pictures of her father, he appears to be black. He was also touted in the early 1970s as the first African-American to be hired in the economics department at Stanford, and one of the first hired at Stanford.
Here is an article with some older pictures of him:
What a loser. No way he has any chance at all. Waste of money, and waste of time better spent at the job he was elected to do.
Imagine how much infighting there will be over who gets on what level of kiddie-table debate. I'm gonna need more popcorn!
I suspect that’s why about all of them do it. It would be interesting to me if some financial experts would thoroughly research the subject and publish a report on the economics of running for a major office. Maybe it’s been done already.
Which would be very interesting if true.
“Some native Jamaicans have said that Harris is not black.
Which would be very interesting if true.”
Rush had a segment on his show not too long ago in which he played audio of Don Lemon and Fredo discussing Harris’ “authenticity,” much like the discussion twelve years ago about Obama. According to Harris’ father, he (and therefore she) is descended from Jamaican slave owners (not slaves), so she most likely has a white great-(or great-great) grandfather.
NOWHERE in the linked article does it mention that Chickenpooper is a Democrat.
I know if I had a name like Chickenpooper, I would legally change it.
Hickenlooper wants another gubmint pension, and is willing to serve as VP to get it.
And that's a good thing.
Hickenlooper has as good a chance at winning as anyone the Democrats could nominate. People need to be careful dismissing the guy. He has executive experience and Colorado's booming economy to run on. Plus, he can convince people he's a moderate.
Fotunately for President Trump, John Hickenlooper is unlikely to survive a primary process that is hostile to straight white males who aren't batsh*t crazy.
Now says after Zero the only person not eligible is El Chapo ...
Some average Joe or Jane who might be upper middle class, or just middle class and well-connected in their home district, runs for Congress. In a relatively short time, they become multimillionaires. Look at Ocasio-Cortez, the former bartender who now lives in a luxury apartment in DC. Members of Congress do make low 6-figure salaries, but it's nowhere near enough to become millionaires and afford luxury homes. So how do they become wealthy in a couple of years or so after getting elected? The system is set up so they can game it easily and without fear of the law.
