I know only a few Chinese ideograms but a generation ago in grad school, beautiful Taiwanese girls taught me to write “Mei Guo” meaning America.

If “in America there will be a rifle behind every blade of grass” is known in Chinese, then it will make even the bravest planners in Beijing hesitate.
