Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright apologized to Mitt Romney on Tuesday for previously mocking his 2012 description of Russia as the country's top geopolitical foe.
Reporters tweeted Albright offered a mea culpa to now-Sen. Romney (R., Utah), then the 2012 GOP nominee, at a House Intelligence Committee hearing, saying "we underestimated what was going on with Russia."

When Harry Reid lied about Romney failing to pay income taxes he later refused to apologize saying instead, “He lost didn’t he?”
It’s what everyone here should immediately think.

The US and USSR were ideological rivals. We have almost no common geographic interesss except derivatively through our allies, and there position is a lot worse because, as Pat Buchanan so cogently put it, when the USSR collapsed and the Russians asked for our help, we drove our tanks up to their front porch and pointed the gun in their bedroom window.
American globalism is just another facet of American imperialism and the Bushes and Romneys are advocates for that. Don’t go defending your country when some of its presumptive leaders are dead wrong imperialistic war mongers.
You can believe in the Constitution, defense of America and also pay head to. GWs admonition against foreign entanglements. And Willard is all about foreign entanglements.
Well, credit where credit is due: they recognize a weakling they can cull from the herd better than anyone else does.
