9th Circuit gets another Trump-picked judge, after White House bypasses consultation with Dems
Fox News ^ | February 26 2019 | Gregg Re

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed President Trump's nominee to be a judge on the liberal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in a party-line vote -- and, in a historic snub, the White House ignored the input of the judge's two Democratic home-state senators in the process.

The aggressive and unprecedented move to bypass the traditional "blue slip" consultation process and plow ahead with the confirmation comes as the Trump administration seeks to systematically erode left-wing dominance on the key appellate court, which Trump has called "disgraceful" and politically biased.

With a sprawling purview representing nine Western states, the appellate court has long been a thorn in the side of the Trump White House, with rulings against his travel ban policy and limits on funding to "sanctuary cities." A lawsuit is currently pending before the 9th Circuit concerning Trump's emergency declaration over border security -- and Trump had sarcastically predicted that Democrats would purposefully file suit in the San Francisco-based appellate court to improve their odds.

If there were a scorecard that issued penalty points for judges every time the highest court overturns activist BS opinions and the sum of these demerits could lead to “reeducation” or firing lousy judges this corrupt “judge shopping” would come to an end.

What ever happened to deciding cases on the merits? And not
on who is the President.

Winning! Guess harry reid should not have executed the nuclear option. Now, instead of a Federal government that is respectful of minority opinion, it now majority rules. This is not a good development for our country.

It´s the law. A courtesy would have been for Diane Feinstein to act cordial, kind, symbolic in willing to cooperate so he could ask her who she recommended. But Pelosi and Diane they KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. They said this.

Law firms have been known to have more than one lawyer, and to represent different kinds of clients. If Miller was vetted by the Federalist Society, the Heritage Foundation and the Trump White House, I’m confident that he’ll be fine.

IIRC there are 5 more vacancies on the 9th Circus. When President Trump fills those vacancies, the appointees will be something like 9 by Democrats and 7 by Republicans. So activist Left wingers will still hold the majority, but it will be a lot closer. Some of the more insane rulings by the 9th might even be curbed at least.

Trump needs to light a fire under McConnell to fill the other 9th circuit vacancies.

One of the many reasons I no longer read or view news from Fox; phrases such as “aggressive and unprecedented move to bypass”, “plow ahead”, and “systematically erode” in their reporting. Terms and phrases very clearly intended to influence the reader to a predetermined conclusion.

I LOVE THIS PRESIDENT!!!
Feckless Republicans manage to win one!
They probably won’t be able to sleep for weeks with their guilt over this win.
