Every one of you needs to hang your head in shame.
This was a human life.
And on this day, when moronic ideology and political cowardice have defeated real American values in our senate in the devaluing of human life.
I cant tell the difference between you people and a group of anti-Americans whose goal in logging on to this website is to make Freepers (real Americans) look like theyve done a 180 on American values.
Maybe the woman should have valued her life more? Are you having a bad day? Overreact much???
Shame on you people, post 41 goes for you too.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
I have no sympathy for someone who flips the bird at signs that tellbthem something is unavailable.
This is up there with camping in Iraq.
Go wag your little finger elsewhere.
She chose poorly.
Please explain further how I should hang my head in shame.
For pointing out that people who break rules and are killed by an act of nature those rules were put in place to prevent should have observed the rules?
You will notice that I did allow that perhaps the woman could not read. But don’t you think that it is the personal responsibility to understand signage?
I have a hard time understanding why you think I should hang my head in shame.
I'll bet you're a real hit at parties. Nobody cares what you think so you can take your sanctimonious BS elsewhere.
A bit of an over reaction on your part, IMHO.
And, God bless, have a great day!
You may remember this quote.
It has more significance than just Dont ask God to save you from jumping from a high place.
It also is saying to us not to needlessly place our lives in danger.
Our lives do not belong to us they belong to God.
This woman ignored plainly posted warning that going beyond the barrier was dangerous to life and limb.
While I have pity for her family for their loss I have difficulty in having pity for a person that ignored authority and by her own actions ended her own life.
I have great respect for life but not for those that willingly put their own life in danger needlessly.
We live not too far from Yellowstone park and we have problems specifically with Chinese tourists coming onto our ranch to see what’s here and to take pictures of large, angry, bull bison that I won’t approach unless I’m wrapped in a truck.
They get killed with amazing regularity around here (and not just in the park) because they ignore fences, gates, posted warnings, and etc. and then they act all dumb and innocent when they get caught.
Are we concerned? Yes, we are. That’s why we take care to patrol our well-posted fenceline to keep our herd of large, angry bison contained. But we can’t be out there every single day to stop stupid people from trying to kill themselves.
So we do our part but when the stupid people go out of their way to put themselves, their families, and first responders in danger then all I can say is, “Oh, well.”
If you don’t like that then you should probably avoid coming to Wyoming. Don’t get me wrong, if you break down on the road or have an accident the people around here will stop at nothing to help you out. But if you ignore the big signs that say DANGER and then get yourself killed by the danger then these same people will just shrug because we’ve seen so much damned stupidity that we just don’t have it in us to get concerned about the stupid people anymore.

Oh, and here’s another example of the Chinese and their bizarre penchant for harming themselves and others:
