AOC came from nowhere and beat a heavily favored incumbent in senior leadership role within the dem party. She took on Amazon and the NY City and State dem machine and won.Then she became the face of the party immediately, and began issuing policy directives. She may be a dope, she may be a fool for who she chooses to fight, but she's not to be dismissed. She has an army of NPS sheep who hang on her every tweet. She's the second most effective pol on Twitter today (the first is Trump). She can take on the dem establishment and just because they are fighting back now doesn't mean they will win. She may overcome them and if she does, she's the queen.
You completely mischaracterize what happened there. Read the open letter published yesterday by the NYS budget director. The real culprits were the unions and two state legislators who launched a public crusade against Amazon after they had publicly supported the project months earlier. New York would not have bid on the Amazon HQ2 project WITHOUT the public support of those two particular legislators who represented the district where the site would be located.
