Nebraska State Sen. Ernie Chambers (I-Omaha) referred to the American flag as “a rag” and compared it to a swastika during a Tuesday speech on the floor of the state legislative chamber. Chambers made the comments during a floor speech where he was criticizing a bill, LB 399, which would update civics requirements in the state’s schools to improve student literacy “in civics, history, economics, financial literacy, and geography.”
“I don’t come here for this rag every day, and it’s a rag. That’s all it is to me,” Chambers said, referring to the American flag. “When you show a way to persuade Jews to sanctify and worship the swastika, when you show me that I’ll come up here and stand while you all hypocritically pretend that rag is something that it definitely is not.”
Several lawmakers then criticized the 81-year-old state senator for his comments.
Chambers’ colleague, State Sen. Tom Brewer, who is also a military veteran, responded that “it’s hard” to refer to the American flag “as a rag” given how those who serve our country sacrifice a lot to respect the flag.
The Omaha World-Herald reported that, in a 2015 legislative hearing on concealed carry, Chambers put members of law enforcement on the same level as members of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group.
“My ISIS is the police. Nobody from ISIS ever terrorized us as a people as the police do us daily. And they get away with it,” Chambers said at the time.

If our flag was anything like the swastika, his sleazy dirty azz would have been put down long ago.

Chambers is a total ass, and dumber than a bag of hammers. He is an embarrassment to most Nebraskans.

One question: who in Nebraska thinks it is worth discharging neurotic white guilt to vote for this guy.
Our country gave rights to people who never had them in their lives. We gave millions of dollars and food to our sworn enemies after we won wars-—something I marveled at as a little boy. No one else does that.
We allow blacks and communists the freedom to speak out and then to work to destroy our republic. They never did that for freedom loving people in Stalin or Mao or Ho Chi Minh’s day. Urinating on the American flag and burning it is a court protected form of “free speech” here.
My father was among millions fighting for America in WWII. In a battle in the South Pacific a shell fragment hit him in the head. He had a metal plate in his skull (too early for plastic ones) and worked all his life.
Our American flag is our symbol of the veterans’ bravery and sacrifice. Some were injured, others died and some merely gave years of their career lives and income to join the armed forces and fight for all of our sakes. The flag symbolizes America.
We should remember this cheap politician’s name in infamy and oppose the majority of the people of Nebraska who voted for him.
With worse things coming soon we cannot forget what he has done to us—or to our flag.
Since Nebraska has a unicameral one house legislature.How are those senate districts set up ? How many voters are required to make a district ?How often do they meet,and what’s the length of members term ? It looks like his district is laid out just to include blacks Chicago ward style* which is at the expence of the county, town, or area involved.

He’s represented the Omaha ghetto since 1971 except for a gap when he was term limited, so yeah, he does.
We’re left to assume that he was lying when he took his oath of office...

You should hear what he called “white women”. He had a tv call in show and would give out phone number of people he disagreed with.
