Elizabeth Warren opens door to reparations for Native Americans

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Friday evening that Native Americans should be “part of the conversation” on reparations, showing a willingness to expand the debate over whether minority groups that have faced discrimination should be financially compensated by the federal government.
Warren is one of four Democratic presidential hopefuls who have said in recent days that they’re open to providing some type of reparations to African Americans who are descendants of people who were enslaved in the United States, although they’ve offered varying levels of details about how the goal would be achieved.
So far, Warren is the only one to entertain the notion of including Native Americans. “I think it’s a part of the conversation,” she said when asked whether the group should also receive some kind of relief. “I think it’s an important part of the conversation.”
This ground is fraught for Warren, who claimed to be Native American for about two decades when she was a law professor. She has apologized for doing this, but the issue dogged her in her first Senate race and has been a persistent source of tension in her nascent presidential bid.
Warren made the remarks on reparations after addressing about 900 New Hampshire Democrats at the state party’s annual McIntyre-Shaheen 100 Club Dinner at the Hilton in Manchester. Warren enjoyed a standing ovation when she walked onto the stage, and her speech was frequently interrupted by applause.

How about she gives them some reparations out of her own bank account for all the fraud she committed while falsely declaring herself one of them?
And while she is at it, pay back the people she defrauded while pretending.
She could start by giving up her senate seat to a native American.

If this happens, there are going to be a lot of real Americans who are going to have one big fit! I don’t know which of the lastest is going to put us conservatives over the edge... but they are testing us with stuff that is out of line, out of question and shows they are living in never never land.

If the new AG does not do something with the corruption and the stupidity of them all... end the mueller fiasco... and put some intelligence back into congress.. clean up the swamp... the people out here who go to work every day, follow the laws and take care of family... while washington burns... are not going to tolerate this mess ... we have an election coming up and we had better have those ducks in a row to win it.. to lose it would destroy half the country.

Her ancestor Hamilton Brown was a sugar planter and slave owner in Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica, which he represented in the House of Assembly of Jamaica for 22 years.
In 1832, he met Henry Whiteley on his trip to Jamaica to whom he argued that Jamaican slaves were better off than the poor of England and therefore the British government should not interfere with the way the Jamaican planters managed their slaves; Whiteley went on to witness harsh and arbitrary whipping of slaves at the plantations that he visited during his stay.
After the emancipation of slaves throughout the British Empire in 1833 by the Slavery Abolition Act, Brown was active in trying to recruit Irish people to work in Jamaica. In December 1835, 121 people from Ballymoney, Antrim, set off from Belfast for Jamaica on the James Ray, a brig owned by Brown. They settled in Saint Ann Parish. In 1836 he brought a further 185 Irish people to Saint Ann. An effort by planters in 1840 to encourage large scale Irish migration to Jamaica to settle lands that might otherwise be occupied by newly-freed slaves, failed after the project was criticized in Ireland as potentially making slaves of the migrants.
