A 70-year-old man who recently was prosecuted for writing that Somalis are lazy and don’t work, has now been convicted of the crime in Sweden.
It is “derogatory to the group of Somalis’ reputation” according to the District Court.
The man, who lives in western Sweden, wrote in connection with a Facebook post that linked to an SVT article, which stated that only one out of five Somalis have a job, that “no Somali can work they are the laziest people in this world”.
The verdict came last week. The man was convicted of hate speech by a unanimous District Court, and ordered to pay 60 daily fines of SEK 120, totaling SEK 7200 (700 euro’s).
For a remark to be classed as hate speech, it must express misconduct of a group of people, and regarding this the District Court writes: “For a message to fall under the term ‘misconduct’, it is sufficient that a statement about, for example, a certain ethnic group is derogatory to the group’s reputation. Even statements that are ridiculing towards a particular group of people are almost always included in the provision.”
The District Court believes that the remark on laziness cannot be perceived in any other way than as “derogatory to the group of Somalis’ reputation. It does not express any factual criticism and the purpose of it does not seem to have been to contribute to a constructive debate.”
The article that the man commented on states that only one in five Somalis have a job in Sweden.
Other studies show that only one in ten Somali women work.

This is why we have a 1st Amendment. Hate speech legislation is simply a tool used by some to suppress views they disagree with. Note this Swede wasn’t calling for violence. He was simply stating his opinion that may or may not be correct as a generalization regarding Somalis in Sweden. Regardless, there is no end of government control over people once they can punish someone for saying something “offensive.” It opens the door to totalitarianism.
How in the world can people be so gullible as to give government the right to police the free exchange of thoughts between people? This is positively Orwellian.

Somalis in Sweden are citizens and residents of Sweden who are of Somali ancestry. They emigrated after the civil war in Somalia, with most arriving after the year 2006.[2][3] Somalis have the greatest cultural difference to Swedes.[clarification needed][4]
In a 2007 report on Somalis in Gothenburg the following findings were made: half of Somali women do not live with the father of her children, only 3 out of 10 young Somalis have passing grades in primary education (Swedish: Grundskola), 1 out of 5 Somali men aged 18-23 have been suspected of a violent crime and about half the Somalis had no income from work in 2005.[5] Also in the 12-17 age group, violent crime was common.[5] On average, each suspect was suspected of about 10 cases of robbery or assault. Local police stated that unlike other criminals where the violence levels escalate along with the career in crime, Somalis use knife violence already as youngsters.[5]
In 2012 SVT reported that four out of five somali immigrants in Sweden are unemployed, while 70% only have primary education of some form or less.[6]
In a 2013 SVT interview at a summit of the African Union, Fowsiyo Yuusuf Aadan, the then minister of foreign affairs of Somalia encouraged Somalis to return to their home country to invest in businesses work as the situation had improved.[7]

Sweden is dead. The pride of”socialism works” kills itself by accepting lazy Somalians to its country. Hope they like speaking Farsi because if they don’t it is a hate crime.
Same thing can happen here. If you made the same comment at a business that is PC, you could lose your job. Nothing less than 666.
Oh, really? So, if a Somali living in Sweden posted on Facebook that native Swedes were dumber than Swedish meatballs he would be convicted?
So you can’t say, for example, that Italians are emotional. That’s a crime.
But everyone is so happy in Sweden. Bernie Sanders told me so.

I guess #2 means that #1 is ‘Fake News’ and therefore the guy was prosecuted.
Don’t laugh, we’re talking Sweden here.
I expect that the Somalis are perfectly willing to work hard enough at jobs for which they are qualified. But Sweden does not have much call for human porters or herdsmen minding cattle in semi-arid pastures. Perhaps they could go back to chopping trees by hand for firewood.

Note that nowhere in the article did it say the court even considered the truthfulness of the statements.
Time to hang the judges and burn the courts and raze the society to reset it back to proper normal.
