Republican Mark Harris on Thursday called for a new election in North Carolina’s 9th congressional district, saying that allegations of ballot tampering have shaken the public’s confidence in the race’s outcome.
Harris’s request, which came at a hearing of the North Carolina State Board of Elections, was a stunning reversal for the Republican House candidate, who has for months urged state elections officials to certify him as the winner in the race.

What is legal in California is not legal in N. Carolina.
Evidently, he now has proof that these surrogates were provably breaking N. Carolina law.

He is tainted. His own son testified against him. He is finished.
Rob Pittenger should run again, or some other NC GOPer.

Because ballot harvesting by anyone at all is LEGAL in CA, and it’s not in NC. Nothing to question in CA since it’s legal, right? lol it’s not legal for the harvester to fill out the ballot, but how do you prove that?

Harris is just setting up the Hollowoodies to flood NC with their big bucks. Helps with the economy.
And you can bet your bottom dollar the democrats will “win it” and Harris will not say a word and the NC Republican Party will fold like a tent.

Yeah, I think you are right. When the man suddenly remembers that he was in fact warned that people working on his behalf were engaged in some shady doings... it’s time to find another candidate before we hand the election to the other side.
I believe the GOP Incumbent who Harris defeated in the primary will run for reelection and eventually win.
I was thinking the same thing. Crazy that this kind of thing is perfectly legal in California. And ... gasp! ... illegal and corrupt in N. Carolina.

The article says he’s had two strokes following an illness and has some memory problems. He may not be healthy enough to run again.
