Every New Yorker -- and tourist -- will now know that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Opens a New Window. , D-N.Y., is being partially blamed for Amazon's Opens a New Window. recent pullout of its planned headquarters in the city's borough of Queens.
A new billboard funded by the Job Creators Network debuted on Wednesday in Times Square calling out Ocasio-Cortez for her role in Amazon's canceled plans Opens a New Window. for the new headquarters, known as HQ2.
The billboard -- which will be located on 42nd street near 8th Avenue for one week beginning on Wednesday -- is headlined "Amazon Pullout, Thanks for Nothing, AOC."
The ad goes on to detail the economic consequences of Ocasio-Cortez's part in New York City foregoing 25,000 high-paying jobs and $4 billion in wages and her part in the entire state taking a $12 billion hit in lost economic activity.

The city council made it clear the 25k jobs would be unionized. That had a lot to do with Bezo’s pulling out. Pretty hypocritical for a lefty
.
Amazon should have known better. They were surely going to be held-up for some form of reparations.

I don’t believe Amazon was settled on New York finally and completely. They were still dangling the carrot. Still trying to glom another billion here, another billion there out of New York.
That’s what they do.
I don’t believe New York was their favorite and first choice. Amazon is a whore on sale to the highest bidder. New York wasn’t working out too well. And then that chick with the big teeth really screwed the pooch.
So Amazon blamed her and bailed out.
How did the Australian Olympic Committee take away jobs in NYC? Methinks that this billboard overestimates Al’s name recognition.
We need some more background on this empty head
I never saw the rest of the billboard. I copied this off of somebody else's website, which --- as I now see -- dodn't show the whole thing.
I appreciate "the rest of the story".
I prefer:

You’re welcome. What struck me was that three other posters (beside you) also posted truncated versions, when the thread’s version was a full one.
It does. But we’re not paying for a billboard and have to settle for theirs.
I think I heard that Brandon Straka (#WalkAway) may oppose her in the next election. He’s as charismatic as she is (homosexualy, sadly), but is leading the charge to have Rats turn away from the dark side, and come to the right.
“That will actually help her with the ignorant NY voters.”
Make that “the ignorant NY CITY voters”. My family’s from rural western NY, and it’s extremely conservative there.

With my new glasses I can see the White House from my office window. I wonder what color drapes I’ll have them install.

“cartoonists are not afraid to draw her”
She makes it so easy. To quote Trump in 2016: “Look at that face!”
“Shell probably tell them to ‘learn to code’”
LOL! My sister was banned from Twitter for using the “learn to code” phrase to criticize libs.

My knowledge of cows comes strictly from John Wayne movies and
plates on tables at steak houses.
Since Donald Trump came to office, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has risen from approximately 21,000 to almost 26,000 — creating huge profits for Wall Street and therefore huge economic benefits for New Yorkers, plus high tax receipts for New York’s governments.
So if they’re putting up a giant poster on Times Square to criticize AOC for hurting New York’s economy, they should also put up a poster praising Donald Trump for the economic benefits he’s brought to New York.
