Voter ID requirements do not affect voter turnout, according to a new working paper published by the National Bureau of Economic Research. The researchers looked at 1.3 billion data points on U.S. voters from 2008 to 2013, and they found that the laws have no negative effect on registration or turnout, overall or for any group defined by race, gender, age, or party affiliation.

It is becoming more evident why the Dems fight any attempt at Voter ID requirements and it has nothing to do with repressing
legitimate votes.
Voter ID requirements suppresses illegal votes and makes voter fraud more difficult!

The Democrats object to voter ID because it denies them of the illegal alien vote.

I know at least one state, Kansas, challenged the opposition to voter I.D. by asking them to present specific individuals who would be denied the right and ability to vote because of the state law requiring I.D.
Not a single individual was presented.

Well, what do you know? Minorities actually aren’t the incompetent boobs their liberal masters claim they are. Shocking.

It represses voter fraud which is why the Democrats dont like it.

If requiring a photo ID actually did deter someone from voting, they had no business voting in the first place. No one is buying the notion of the “oppressed people of color” BS anymore.

It is the Democrats say minorities are to dumb to acquire a valid ID. Sound kind of racist to me.
To: TruthWillWin
The article says the study concluded that Voter ID does not reduce the number of votes. Therefore, illegals who have been voting are still voting with Voter ID.

Nauseatingly annoying white liberals talk about black people as if they are their "pets" who depend upon their benevolence.

Oh look, the Democrat's contention that black people are genetically incapable of accomplishing simple tasks, like obtaining a valid ID, has been proven false.
Still, they'll insist that it's racist to believe black people capable, and enlightened to insist that they're too stupid to do this.

Declaring voter I.D. as being some kind of hurdle for minorities is extremely racist. Its incredible that democrats publicly state the color of ones skin precludes them from obtaining I.D. Are they inferring minorities are too stupid to navigate the process?

We need federal legislation outlining a US wide system that applies to all states to use for federal elections. Specifying who can vote, required citizenship documentation, and local house to house precinct residency registration verification. Performed by a bi-partisan canvassed confirmation team. And No provisional, mail in, or same-day ballot issuance permitted. .

Wasn't there some other state that announced "If you need a voter ID, we will get you one, free of charge."?
Again no one stepped forward.
If someone in this country does not have an ID suitable for voting, they are either not eligible or not interested.
You can't blame race anymore.
