The same Russian social media trolls accused of meddling in the 2016 US election may be to blame for the deadly measles outbreak across Europe last year, according to a new report.
Scientists believe the St. Petersburg troll farm also pumped out anti-vaccination propaganda, contributing to the outbreak that killed 72 people and infected more than 82,000, Radio Free Europe reported.
In a study published by the American Public Health Association in September, researchers examined the trolls online messages from July 2014 through September 2017 and concluded that their posts were responsible for eroding public consensus on vaccination.
Vaccination hesitancy is now one of the top 10 threats to global health, according to the World Health Organization.

Do anything the Establishment does not like (question immunizations, vote for Trump, etc.) and you’re a victim of Russian troll farms apparently.
The Russian trolls were pretty active here when they mistakenly thought that Trump would be a friend to Russia. Meanwhile, it was Obama-Clinton who had significantly aided the Russians, on several major levels. They (the Putinistas) seem to be a lot more quiet these days.
Don’t allow so many foreigners into the US and we won’t have a measles problem.
Why in heck would the Russians have preferred a strong-on-defense, hard-nose, team like Trump/Pence over a pathetically weak democrat one, particularly at a time like this when they are on the move? Obama aim was to practically dismantle our military. Hillary would have simply continued the process.
Illegal immigration is responsible for this outbreak.
Same as typhus in LA.
Or the tuberculosis outbreak in CA.
Mumps in NJ?
Imho.
5.56mm
Of course simple human unscientific beliefs, by humans who simply fail to do their own - and quite available - due diligence about vaccinations could not possibly be responsible for the measles outbreaks. No, stupid people need excuses for their stupid behavior.
Are the Russians meddling in the Coke-Pepsi competition?
With Republicans on both House and Senate investigative committees having found no evidence of...collusion..."
(snip)
It would seem those questions deserve at least some of the scrutiny afforded the Trump-Russia collusion inquiry that is now two-plus years old.

Si,El Russians senor.
Even the Russians have better things to do with their time than that. Headshake.

It would appear the death rate is negligible. Unmentioned is the normal death rate for 82,ooo people over the same period
If it were really Russians, I would think they could do better than that
Russian Trolls left a huge pile of snow at the end of my driveway right after I had just finished cleaning all the snow off.
Is there anything Russian Trolls can’t do?
The whole Russia thing is a total joke. Putin would have liked nothing better than to have corrupt, bought and sold Clinton as President and the Kenyan helping make it all happen. It would be the gift that would keep on giving. It’s so bizarre to think Russia and Trump was some conspiracy.
Because it was more of an anti-Hilary thing on their part, than it was pro-Trump. Because Putin really didn’t like things she did as secretary of state and openly says so. Almost more of a revenge thing than anything
Putin didn't like the things the Obama/Hillary admin did?? Are you serious? Obama gave away the store to Russia on missile defense and nukes, including the Iran nuke deal that Putin loved so much and claimed to have largely influenced. Hillary gave them 20-25% of our uranium production, via the Uranium One deal. Meanwhile, while making the Russians stronger, team Obama slashed our military to pieces!
