Lara Logan, foreign correspondent for CBSs 60 Minutes, said Breitbart News offers the other side of news media relative to what she described as a mostly left-wing and partisan Democrat news landscape in the U.S. and abroad.
She offered her remarks in an interview published last Friday with the Mike Drop podcast, hosted by retired Navy SEAL Mike Ritland.
Ritland characterized U.S. news media as absurdly left-leaning and supportive of Democrats, further describing the status quo of American news medias left-wing and partisan Democrat biases as a huge f__ing problem and disaster for this country.
Logan concurred, I agree with that. Thats true. She described U.S. and international news media as mostly liberal, adding, most journalists are left.
The media everywhere is mostly liberal, not just the U.S., assessed Logan.

In other news ..shes a beautiful woman

And a CLASSY and HONEST woman from everything Ive seen.
She’s obviously correct as anybody who has ever watched the Beeb or the Yurp mainstream media can attest.
I used to attempt to go to Breitbart. Too much crap loading on each page and it always hangs up my laptop.
What browser are you using?

Yes. agree.
Yes
“What I remember most is despicable assholes on this very forum saying she deserved it from those animals for being there in the first place covering the lie that was the Arab Spring”
I may have piled on, but I think I my comments were towards 60 Minutes for sending her into that hell-hole - I expected the people back at headquarters to better understand what risk they’re putting people at, before sending them into situations like that.
But, after reading this, perhaps CBS News did know her politics and figured they’d send her there as punishment. Don’t laugh, the media has done worse to people, much, much worse.
“I knew what the Arab Spring really was, my Egyptian friends did too.”
I worked with a Copt who was desperately trying to get his elderly parents out of the hellhole Egypt was under the Muslim Brotherhood. He was absolutely THRILLED that he finally met an American* who understood the Brotherhood, without needing him to explain them.
*Obviously, by ‘American’, I mean an American without a connection back to that part of the world - he was American also, and I know he has many Egyptian-American friends, but I was first for him.
“Why are media people liberal-slanted?”
‘Slanted’ is obviously an understatement and has always been such - they are for worse than ‘slanted’.
As to the question, I think it just comes down to control. Conservatives want to play by the rules, live out their lives, and have their kids grow up in a country that at least resembles the country they grew up in and love.
For Leftists, they HATE what this country is and they want a different society, one in which they are in TOTAL CONTROL, and everyone grovels at their feet. Never forget that the past two Democrat presidents promised ‘change’ (Bill Clinton), and to ‘transform’ (Obama). They simply want to rule over people, and they dedicate their lives to that goal, whether it’s in ‘journalism’ (which I still cannot figure out why a 4 year degree is needed, unless...), or government, or academe. The problem is that they need to win elections in this country to achieve power over others - hence many of them move into ‘journalism’ (which I still cannot figure out why a 4 year degree is needed, unless...).
...and every society has to deal with both types, usually with the Left having far fewer people who actually want to rule over others. But the Left has HUGE advantages - the biggest one is that non-Leftists simply CANNOT understand who they are and what they will do, once they do achieve power - and they cannot understand it because they certainly don’t desire that, so they cannot accept that others do, particularly if the country is free and prosperous. And that why you have NeverTrumpers - their rationale was that Hillary would happily cede power in 2020 - they have no f-ing clue as to who she is. But I did and was getting in place my bug-out plan to another part of the world, if she did win (not immediately, but when needed).
I just watched the film drama biopic on Marie Colvin
Rosamund Pike did a good job of it

Cat and a few others were the worst of it and I like cat honestly
“and have their kids grow up in a country that at least resembles the country they grew up in and love.”
My thrust in the post was why do the kids become liberals? You suggest that it’s at least partially because of their parents.
“hence many of them move into journalism”
A big shot for a national newspaper gave a speech to the Journalism school at Duke. He was once the Admiral of an aircraft carrier. He said his journalism job didn’t hold a candle to his Admiral job. He also wished that more journalists had backgrounds other than journalism.
Late to the thread, Very busy with work today. Congrats to Lara Logan for her #WokeJournalism.
“My thrust in the post was why do the kids become liberals? You suggest that its at least partially because of their parents.”
ABSOLUTELY. There’s an understandable tendency for parents to ‘let kids find their way’. Well, sorry, in today’s United States, no kid will be allowed to ‘find his way’. He will have his way ‘found’ for him unless he’s given the tools to resist and fight back. As one of the leaders in ‘education’ once said “I don’t care if kids get 2 hours in church each week - we get 35 hours with them each week, we win.”
Plus one
We need all we can get
Pretty feline is simply lagniappe
Wasnt that horrible?
There is no group of people where things cant degenerate, especially when people feel safe huddled in their boxers in the basement at their keyboards.
I became a liberal by contact. Growing up, there was no alternative exposure. My parents didnt agree much politically and my ancient grandfather was a government establishment type conservative, but all the media exposure I got and my college made me be liberal without me ever expending any logic on it or thinking I had some kind of a choice. I was told what was good and what was bad, and I sucked it in unthinkingly. Until I grew up, lived in socialism, and had a kid. Boom. Once I opened my brain, I saw the truth.
