Patrick Caddell, a former Fox News contributor, reportedly died Saturday at age 68. The political pollster died as a result of complications of a stroke, his colleague Professor Kendra Stewart told The New York Times. Caddell was born in South Carolina on May 19, 1950. He lived in Massachusetts and Florida during his childhood, among other places, as a result of his fathers role in the Coast Guard, the outlet said.

He is a longtime friend of Trumps and acted as an informal adviser throughout the election. Trump routinely called Caddell during the campaign to compliment something Caddell had said on television or dispute any criticisms leveled his way. Caddell visited Trump Tower during the campaign and took a bag of Trump ties offered by the candidate

It was in the 1990s Caddell became disillusioned with the Democratic party which, he said, had left behind its populist roots.
Around 2013 he cracked jokes on Red Eye, the former late night show on Fox News, but never went back on. Show was cancelled in 2017 and he started to appear less on the channel.
Shouldve been saddened where his party had come from and denounced it for all the damage it has caused.
