As the ACLU, the state of California, congressional Democrats and other Leftists line up to sue POTUS Donald Trump for issuing a national emergency declaration on Friday, lost in the “establishment” media’s breathless reporting of all the ways the president is a bigoted jerk who is going to get his when the case makes it to federal court is the fact that there’s nothing new under the sun here.
Specifically, while the press is busy playing its normal role of Democrat Party propaganda machine, few are reporting that POTUS Trump’s declaration was practically ripped out of former President Barack Obama’s ‘national emergency on the border’ playbook.
In July 2011, Obama cited the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.) (IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.) (NEA), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code to issue an executive order “Blocking Property of Transnational Criminal Organizations,” which also resulted in the declaration of a national emergency.

I heard a news soundbite from Rep. Jerome Nadler that Trump is going to extremes beyond any past ripping of powers away from Congress and is a maverick out of control by this emergency declaration, unprecedented in history.
Except for the over 50 times,including Obama ones, by past guys.
Well, I think we all know:
Anything Obama did, is considered to be good and necessary and will not be questioned.
Anything Trump does, is assumed to be done because he is deplorable, because he’s racist, sexist, xenophobic, etc.
Obama did it 15 times, not a peep from the commie media, in fact, they didnt even report it..but with Trump, since they hate his guts and wish he was dead, every single thing he does they despise
If you use Google Earth in Chrome you will see what barrier was already there prior to Trump taking office so to continue what was already started is beyond reasonable. That case needs to be made to the selective Media.

Definitely. Trump alludes to it but he needs to make exactly the case you are making. We are not building a brand new wall from scratch. Sure the new wall is bigger and better but we are augmenting and renovating wall that is already there. If a wall is so bad are the democrats suggesting we tear down what's there (maybe we shouldn't go there). :-)

I would suggest a stealth drone with hell fire missiles that can come and go more or less unnoticed leaving mayhem behind.
That's fine too. I wonder if Mexico even has any air defense capability? With no threat to the south and little chance of attack from the north, why bother?
