Man killed 5 in Illinois after gun background check missed felony conviction, police say

No problem... just create 10 or 20 more NEW gun laws.. that'll solve everything! /s

The IL jackasses voided his right to own a firearm because they found out he was a felon but the idiots expected this convicted felon to turn in his firearm voluntarily; like that was going to happen.

The state authorities are to blame and no, he illegally purchased the firearm by knowing that the background check would not pick up on his felony. Criminals don’t follow the law and they will find ways to illegally purchase if they need to do so.

The laws they have in place don’t work because they don’t enforce them so how are additional laws going to prevent criminals from obtaining weapons?

LMAO at your post. If only they could find a way to blame Trump. Wasn’t the shooter wearing a MAGA hat found at the scene with his registered Republican voter ID card? Wearing blackface his whole life to fool everyone into believing he is African American whe he was really one of those black whites?

Background checks are done instantaneously via computer.

All one has to do is get off their lazy government ass and punch it in. But that may be asking too much of them to interrupt their other “activities”

He was able to buy the gun he used because an initial background check didn't catch that he had a prior felony conviction in Mississippi.

Well, it sound like a reprimand is in order.

Well, the shooter is in some real trouble now for violating that policy.

This story will disappear and there will be no frantic calls for gun control because the shooter is black.

They don’t believe in prosecuting criminals, just making life difficult for the ones attempting to follow a multitude of ridiculous laws.

In retrospect, did they err in asking for LE approval?
