If he vetoes it, they have enough votes to override it, there is no other choice. If he doesn’t sign it after 10 days it becomes law, both side have screwed the President, he always has to go alone.

Trump wants to get reelected and can’t afford a massive inter party fight with the GOP Senate that grinds the beltway to a halt for months.You can tell that is a priority the way POTUS tip toed around the Amnesty Ryan question. He clearly feels really betrayed by him.
McConnell just sits on his hands and says he doesn’t have 60 votes while POTUS is bare behind to the wind. Trump obviously feels another shutdown isn’t going to change that.

I heard Mitch on the floor yesterday stating for the record that he supports the national emergency.
When he said the other day something about the Hard Working Senator Shelby, it was obvious to me that he was referencing HW for a reason. They deliberately set this up so he would fail at the thing that got him elected. HW said “no new taxes.” Trump said, “Built the Wall.” HW was screwed over and signed a tax increase. And the Republican Senate Never Trumpers did this.
Trump will be wiping out his term when he signs .
This is a sad and important day for the wrong reasons .
