Yet everytime something like this makes the headlines there are more and more people that continue to believe the lies. How many people still believe that Michael Brown was innocent and that the Hands up Dont Shoot is still a legitimate meme despite all evidence to the contrary. He and Trayvon Martin and others like Ford are still touted as saints and martyrs on Social platforms. I would love to see a news source who would give as much space and traction to something when proven false as the do when peddling their hate. The fifth estate used to be considered a noble profession but sadly no more! Truth is trampled under the rush to be first, the most sensational and the most virtue signalling.
No, I think involving two others in the hoax was smart, but that’s where the smart ended. The police already know who they are;they’ve been identified. Justice will come and the 2 accomplices and Smollett himself will be in deep doo-doo.The fake attackers were a necessityt because they could have been seen and/or heard by some witness who might happen upon the scene or see/hear it from a distance—the “attackers” then could be utilized as an insurance policy should there be more “credibility” needed for the story and Smollett’s claims.
