On my phone, there’s a screen called “Call History,” or something like that, which shows what numbers called/were called and at what time. Couldn’t he just sit down with an officer, open that screen, and show that his phone was engaged with his agent’s phone at the relevant time? It would take only a few seconds, and the officer shouldn’t need to see anything else.

You are correct. My bad I should have realized that. This makes the phone problem absolute nonsense. Unless the two are hunting for a way to change the date and time on a call between them, there is no reason not to sit down with detectives, with his lawyer present and have the detective simply go to recent calls, scroll down, check time, date and length of the call. Cops need not see his xxxrated gay pics. Unless no call was made.
