The Democrats Green New Socialism proposes blanketing the U.S. with solar panels and wind turbines so as to replace all reliable forms of power generation with unreliable, intermittent sources. Everyone knows that solar panels dont produce electricity at night, but there is another problem: they dont produce electricity when it snows, either.
A friend took this photo and wrote:
I was up in Ramsey [Minnesota] picking up my camper, and next door is this fantastic $30,000,000 brand-new solar installation.
Doesnt look like theyre making much electricity today, but it sure is going to make for good union jobs clearing the snow off these things.

Even around here, in the cold cold north, I have neighbors who use a buried heat exchange grid (it's at least 8 feet down where it's temp-stable all year) for both heating and cooling, and have done so for over 30 years. The big problem with such systems is, they're much more expensive up front -- but the difference between using electricity to merely move heat one way or the other versus buying fuel of some sort (winters only) is substantial.
forcing ratepayers to subsidize your games is just like forcing ratepayers to subsidize and guarantee returns to crony corporations for wind and solar farms.
My money.

it is no different than forcing rent payers to subsidize mortgage holders tax deductions, it is exactly the same.
I would rather not have either one, but I’m not stupid, if it is there I’m taking advantage of it. By the way the government didn’t “PAY” for one third, I just got a tax credit for one third. You have to have a tax bill to have it reduced. While the concept is the same as any tax advantage by “Deduction” in reality a credit is better because it actually subtracts from the total tax bill rather than reducing a liability of a deductible expense. While the effect is the same and the concept is the same, it is simpler and perhaps faster.
Yes, and I can tell by how much my electric bills have gone up over the last five years.
