I humbly disagree. The entire world depends on US fiat currency printed by the Fed. They have no good alternatives, and none appear to be on the horizon. We can run them at full speed and continue to print and spend, and nobody is going to say boo about it because the alternatives (a US economic collapse) are far, far worse for all of them.

On a more serious note, I used to live Down East, but hadn’t been there in nearly 40 years, until I visited in 2015. I can tell you, it’s still spread out, but many places are a LOT more built up than the used to be.
