Absolutely concur. I remember maybe 20 years ago, companies would routinely train entire departments on new software packages.

Then Neutron Jack Welch and McKinsey sold the sheep-like, greedy executives on "offshoring."

Microsoft's Brian Valentine declaimed, "Think INDIA ! Two for the price of one!"

And companies expect employees to come in with 10-yrs experience on technologies which have only been around for 3 years.

Indians will play the game and lie about it.

I know several people who migrated away from their IT fields over time. It wasn’t the competition from cheap foreign labor that chased them out. It was the rapid pace of change that had them spending more and more time just to keep up with each generation of new technology.
