Ocasio-Cortez took to the microphone to fight for the rights of those immigrating here illegally.
“This is one of the most urgent moral issues and crises that we have in America right now,” Ocasio-Cortez said to a small crowd of people and reporters gathered outside of the U.S. Capitol. “This is not a political issue. Children dying in detention centers should not be a partisan concern. It should be a universal concern for every American in the United States.”
Ocasio-Cortez then insisted that President Trump was lying when he said he liked “legal immigration.”
“He said and spoke of the idea that he likes, quote-unquote, legal immigration. But that is a lie. The president does not like any form of immigration. He has been cutting down and imposing restrictions on legal forms, on the diversity visa lottery, on family unification, and so on.”

“We are a nation and land of laws. Not just some people are subject to laws and others are not,” Ocasio-Cortez claimed. “When we are a land of laws, what that means is that every person that steps foot on this soil deserves the consideration of due process. They deserve the protections. They deserve to have access to our Bill of Rights. That’s what makes this nation special.”

I don't know or care about how bright she is. What matters to me is that she is a dogmatic ideologue, who holds very strong beliefs based upon a variety of false or misleading information, and a lack of appreciation of some very important information.
I also believe she is a racist, of sorts, just like people like van Jones are. She seems consumed with racial and ethnic identity, and at the same time points fingers at others and labels them racists, or anti-diversity, or ‘old white men’, etc.. It's very dangerous, because her rhetoric splits society into the oppressed and the oppressors. The oppressors are really anyone who has personal success in society and who has as a consequence more than others. The only way to ‘set things right’ is to take from them what they have earned and redistribute it. It's not any different than the sentiments that were pushed to fuel the Bolshevik Revolution, the Chinese Cultural Revolution, and the revolution in Cuba.
Equally or more dangerous is that the she, and many on the left, are invoking fundamental tenets of Christianity and other religions to justify what they are pushing on society. Help the poor. Feed the hungry. Clothe the unclothed. Heal the sick. Give of yourself for others. These are the fundamentals that we believe in as an America with a long and deep Christian heritage. We are charitable as a nation, and have a great belief in fairness. So, the left uses that, all the while pushing political systems that are rooted in secularism and that rob people of freedom, self-determinism, and dignity.
That said, I think it is essential that we counter their political pitches and diatribes with truth and facts. We cannot let them be successful in characterizing their positions as morally superior. They are in so many ways immoral, and that needs to be pointed out again, and again, and again. I don't care if Ocasio-Cortez has an IQ of 80 or 190. It's her ideas and dogmatic ideology that I care about, and the best way to silence her is to accurately define the ultimately uncaring, oppressive, freedom-stealing nature of the old worn out Marxist drivel she is embracing and wants to force on us.
Boston College should be burned to the ground in retribution.
