Since she’s still within the statute of limitations, she needs to file charges. Otherwise it’s just he said/she said.
Women should not be able to drop these bombs, as Christine Ford and Democrats did with Kavanaugh, and face no repercussions.
If someone is sexually assaulted, then they need to file charges. They should not be allowed to come in, drop their bombs, attempt to destroy someone, and have no consequences.

This accuser is light-years ahead of Blasey Ford in terms of credibility. She’s naming the exact date and location of the alleged attack with specific details. Her presence at that Democratic convention is undoubtedly a known fact, and the accused admits a sexual encounter. Also, the accuser has no ax to grind politically, as she and the accused are on the same side.
So what have we learned in the last week?
The Democrat Party is no friend of blacks (blackface Governor refuses to step down) and no friend of women (a sexual-assaulting Lt. Gov.)

I still think Tyson’s charges are a bunch of crap. No, I did not read the legal document presented in another thread. I do not want to read it. Mr. Fairfax is clearly being Kavanaughed in an attempt to overthrow the Democratic hold on the governor’s mansion.
I say this as somebody who pretty much despises the communist Democrat party. But when you see a sudden trifecta of blackface/sex assault/blackface, with the 3rd in line to take the gov’s mansion being a GOP, you can be sure this is a coup attempt. It may benefit our side in the short term, but the people backing this crap should be ashamed of themselves.
How much is Ms. Tyson being payed for her role in this coup attempt? And yes, I realize something quite similar is afoot against Trump — the Mueller crap, with Apple apparently happy to participate —, and I hate that, too.
The only pleasure that I can get out of all this is that the Democrats must be steamed that their own playbook is being used against them.
She can still file charges in Massachusetts. Leaving the state, as both did after the incident allows the charges to be frozen. The statute of limitations are lifted in such a case.
I say “Bite me.” She could have. She was happily in a man’s bed in his hotel room. Now she’s hired the attorney of a woman in her 50s who is still traumatized by a grope at one high school party. Give me a break.
While it is true that a person should be able to stay stop at any moment during sex, she was not held at knifepoint, he wasn’t powerful and famous, and she could have just walked out. Or bit or hurt him!

The “Doctor” part is only mentioned when the narrative is being used against a Repub, to reinforce the image of the accuser.
One obvious option is to get either or both the A-G or Lt Gov to resign *before* the Gov does, so he can then appoint someone squeaky clean to replace them.
The roadblock to that might be if Va law requires those nominations to be confirmed by the Va State Senate, which is narrowly controlled by the GOP at the moment. So it would have to be someone who is both squeaky clean *and* who'd be politically difficult to vote against. Eg a popular retired Va Dem who announces he'll be just a caretaker until the next election.
