A thread to follow and discuss tonight's State of the Union address by President Trump here on freerepublic.com.
I live just outside the beltway in the Peoples Republic of Maryland and am pretty active in politics. More and more I see women who have been hard core Democrats realize their party has gone astray and are joining us. Many are from minorities.
The millenials I work with were just disgusted by NY infanticide cheering.
Trump did a great job last night, even keel. But I suspect a small percentage of Americans even bothered to watch it.
Getting a fighting Senate... Sadly, Fat Chance. That would disrupt their swamp.
I just keep praying.
Oh thank you
When in the speech was that?
Actually, it was apparently the most watched SOTU ever.
I don’t know how they get their numbers but they can’t include people like us who don’t have cable and use an antenna to pick up the signal.
Amen!
At 1 hour 26 minutes.
But I still think it’s a very small percentage of the American people.
I work with the public. Huge percentage is clueless.
It went by in a flash and Trump may just be the best we will ever see.
Thanks for the report of what you are seeing.
I agree with your takeaway regarding the Senate.
It’s really disappointing that we have had this opportunity for the last 2 years, and our side couldn’t have cared less.
Mitch, Ryan, two of the biggest political screw-ups in U. S. History.
The different sites I have looked at have different time stamps. What was he talking about at the time, do you recall?
And thanks for your patience in answering.

I wonder if Mitt will try to run in 2020?
Written speeches tend to be more accurately written. If he goes off script, sometimes his imagination carries him away. Therefore she would want to check on his ad libs if he made any. Her responsibility give her voted role.
I honestly doubt it.
The guy would be seen by almost everyone to be a goat.
If he tries it, he’ll get squashed and end his political career.
“Evil” is a great term for the commie dems long overdue as a perfect description.
We really dodged a bullet with Stacey Abrams not getting elected governor.
I live near downtown Atlanta and my senior citizen center is a polling place. On election day I was shocked to see how many hipster voters showed up to vote. The line snaked all through the building with waits from 1-2 hours.
I’ll always appreciate Trump coming to GA to campaign for Brian Kemp. His rally in Macon may have just been enough to save us from having a hardcore socialist as governor of GA.
Thirty years ago, I was told by a police detective that Puerto Rico birth certificates were fraudulently printed.
Thirty Years!
Yes, for sure.
